"They have soul. soul is good."

"Dacha (In The Summer)', makes me want to get my Rumba on in some poorly lit club, all wasted on sugary cocktails.... It should be too much but somehow it isn't and keeps you coming back not just to this song, but the whole EP, just to see if you really heard what you thought you heard.
If you're looking for a departure from the standard indie template then give Dacha a listen - Kochka might just be the band you've been waiting for.."

"You'll be lucky if you don't find your feet reacting involuntarily with the floor throughout this one.. this band is on the ascent."

Kochka make music that will make you dance your feet off or rip your heart out. Live Kochka are that rare thing; a band with presence, bursting with musicality and soul.
Kochka have finished recording their second EP 'Dacha/Summer House' which was released in late summer '09.
Kochka are busy up and around the country playing live; learning and evolving all the time. Some high profile dates included recently supporting the critically acclaimed 'The Phantom Band' in Stirling on their recent UK tour and Joe Gideon and The Shark at Glasgow's King Tuts and thier EP launch at MONO, Glasgow with Rod Jones (Idlewild) and Stephen Livingstone (Errors).
The debut single 'The Dead Room Party' was released on April 1st 2009.
