  • Bio

Kodagain formed in 1985 in Knjazevac, SE Serbia, where is hard to be alternative but easy to be alone. Kodagain sings in English because it's more musical than Serbien. Along with their own songs, Kodagain sets children's poems and lyrics taken from Dean Martin, Elvis and others to original music. Lately, Kodagain has been gleaning quality poetry from the Poemhunter web site, especially those whose visual form suggests easy singing...........

    Strung out on a wire

How are you feeling? I think I'm feeling good
I wish I could describe it, so it was understood
There is Soma in my softdrink, Poppies in my pain
Blood as steril as the lines on a this pretend lonely stage

The voices but a whisper, there's no room in my head
The fear is gone, I'm fine you see, there's nothing to be said
I'm afraid it will not last though, for my medicine it dwindles
Like water running down the drain, evaporating into steam

When it does my guts will twist, the sky will fill with clouds
A turnicate of terror will tie up my rumbling bowels
Now's the calm before the storm, but soon I'll taste defeat
Strung out on a christmas tree, hung up like a withered wreath

Not too long ago I wanted to end it, freedom from my curse
To rid my corpse of lifeforce, to ride off in that black crow herse
Armaggedon for my person, as my world it fell apart
So you ask me how I'm feeling? I'm feeling good, with a weakened heart
