Influences
we're all over the board as far as what we listen to. if we had to pick one most influential band it would be our friends The Ergs. they encouraged us to become a band in the first place. listen to the mp3's when we put them up i guess. if you hear a sound similar to a paticular artist you can ask us "hey kohuff are you into this band?" and if we are we'll tell you. and if we're not we'll tell you we're not and probably be all indignant about it like "hell no they suck. how dare you compare them to us" and if we've never heard of said group we'll look into them cuz they might indeed be cool.
Sounds Like
you ever watch those episodes of looney tunes with foghorn leghorn and that chicken hawk that wanted to be taken all seriously as a tough guy? that's totally us with hardcore. everybody who knows us doesn't buy that we're as angry or hard as we try to sound sometimes. we're just a good times rock & roll mostly punk influenced power trio. and sometimes scruff tries to get his croon on. sometimes it works if he hasn't blown out his voice early in the set trying to sound hardcore.
Kohuff was a band that lasted from March of 2004 until March of 2008. in those four years they played about a hundred shows, made some shirts and stickers you might have seen around, went on a short tour/released a split cdr with their pals calamity menagerie and that's about it. in the last year and a half of the band's existence their bassist muff was missing in action due to his job requiring him to relocate to long island and be too busy to keep in contact. things were never quite the same from that point on. but all of the friends that guested on bass during that time period was definitely a testament to everybody's willingness to help out meaning kohuff had to be held in decent regard by a considerable amount of people. should muff ever return to new jersey and have the free time and joey get his carpal tunnel afflicted wrists fixed a reunion isn't entirely out of the question. In the meantime please check out/add scruff's new band The Tea & Whiskey.
