Aritifical Intelligence, Logistics, Calibre, Prodigy, Massive Attack, Leftfield, Chicane, Nightmares on Wax, The Roots, DJ Shadow........accross the board really, but I'd say they are my main influences
I've been DJ'ing for around 11 years and producing for about 8 years. The DJ'ing thing I would still say is my first love, it's what still gets me buzzing now. Although thats all kind of gone to another level now, with being able to combine the buzz of DJ'ing and producing by playing out tracks I've written....
I'm a musician and have played the piano since as long as I can remember. When I was younger, I hated the fact of practicing, piano exams etc but now that I look back I don't know where I would be if I didn't have that in my life. Music is everything to me, both writing and producing. Its totally what I live for.
DJ'ing wise, I've played at Raindance (resident for 2 years), Helter Skelter, Ministry of Sound Juice DJ Compeition Final, Maximum Exposure, Basic Standardz, InneRSense, Blunt, Stush, Keen FM, Blaze FM, Noize FM, Yabba Dabba Doo and now BassDrive.com, plus countless other smaller parties that were normally in a beer garden or some dodgy village hall haha!!
Production wise I've only just really started trying to get stuff out there because its taken me this long to be completley satisfied with the stuff I'm doing. I've had Ring The Alarm and Viscous on 1xtra, Solution is available on 1xtra as a free download, Viscous is available to buy on Spearhead digital, plus Lucid and Night Fell are available on DigiPhunk. Plus now Simple Complexities is available on Ennex Records, Jazz Club / Remain free are also available on Frequency Factory recs.
I'm always interested in what people think of my stuff, so feel free to add a comment or add me as a friend. And don't forget to get in the blog, there's LOADS of stuff in there you can download!
Great profile. Peace and progress. Many thanks for adding me and looking forward to your comment.. Any suggestion is welcome. Hope you enjoy and dance to my Music. All the best wishes. Farid
I'm really liking the tracks on your page - have a kinda Logistics style vibe but with your own twist.
Also big respect for not having one of those cliche, cheesy, arrogant third-person biographies like everyone seems to have these days - no bigging yourself up, just a nice down-to-earth bio - nice one haha!
Hey! The first EP from 16 year old Drum and Bass producer Switch Fusion has been released for FREE DOWNLOAD! Check it out in the player on my page, or download it here: http://www.mediafire.com/?yrzgndddnjz
