About me:
Krystal Dyer grew up in a town called Medford, located in South New Jersey. She was born in 1984 and since she can remember, she has drawn. Most kids had coloring books; Krystal had a sketchbook and "connect the dots" books. Every Sunday, Krystal and her Dad would go buy the Sunday newspaper and go out to breakfast where her Mom worked. Krystal would order her cup of hot chocolate with whipped cream, search for the Comic section and rip out the "HOW-TO-DRAW" instructions and learn to draw what the paper offered their readers for that week.
Krystal went to Catholic School for 12 years; she attended St. Mary's of the Lakes School in Medford, NJ from first through eighth grade and graduated from Holy Cross High School in Delran, NJ. Noted by her peers for her artistic ability, she was often asked to draw things for them. Being born into a family that has a history of artistic ability has helped Krystal over the years. Unfortunately, Catholic school did not supply her with the variety of artistic medium experience that she needed to carry out her talent. Her parents wanted Krystal to pursue her dream of becoming an artist; they wanted her to experience all mediums of art while she was young, and so they sent her to art classes in Medford Lakes, with a local artist, Rebecca Cook, to help expand her knowledge of artistic mediums.
After high school, Krystal was accepted to the Art Institute of Philadelphia as a Media Arts and Animation major. There, she was taught many skills in animation that helped her get to where she is today. Krystal served as an intern at Nick Online at the Nickelodeon Studios located in the Viacom building in New York, NY. There she created eye-catching graphics and small animations that were used throughout
nick.com.
Krystal is known for her goofy characters. She says:
"Everything an artist creates comes from a doodle and every doodle comes from inspiration. Whether it be from what the artist was feeling at the moment when they created it, to music, friends, family, noises that surrounded them, or even the weather -- everything an artist creates had some inspiration to it. Most of my characters have been created with the inspiration of someone who has impacted my life."
Krystal Dyer graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Media Arts and Animation. After college she went on to work at Think Up, which is a toy design company located in South New Jersey. She worked at Think Up as a concept artist and pixel animator. She also worked as an artist at Splintertek/Lockheed Martin as a graphic illustrator, flash animator, and sound editor, while holding a position there she also was an art teacher at Costello Prep, a juvenile jail for young men between the ages of 16 and 18. Along with those jobs she has tackled many freelance projects on her own to help build her resume and stay on her toes in this constantly changing industry.
Krystal now resides in San Diego, California. She continues to use the knowledge she has gathered throughout her many years of artistry on a day to day basis in order to keep her skills sharp. You may find Krystal at RT’s Longboard Grill in Pacific Beach San Diego CA on Tuesday nights painting LIVE for open mic night, on the beach with her sketch pad in hand, or inside a coffee shop doodling away while drinking her hot chocolate. She hopes that her creations will help inspire others to never give up on their dreams.
Krystal is always creating new art, so feel feel to browse around her photo section and see what she has done. She posts bulletins when she has new additions to the site, so add her as a friend and stay up to date with her creative progress. If something catches your eye, let Krystal know by sending her a message! There is also a FAQ blog that you should check out.

I've kept an eye on your page still. But it's a tease now.
Just got back from a visit to OH. This summer I'm headed back there along with my first trip back to Philly in almost a decade (changed planes there last month briefly but doesnt count!) and another stop in South Carolina. Perhaps towards winter I'll be in Cali headed out your way.
Enjoy the holidays. Be safe. :-)
