DEATHPUNX	Nov 25 2009 11:24 PM A lot of things began in NYC but they were perfected in LOSAN (L.A.) - two prime examples are Punk Rock and Graffiti. The Los Angeles Death Squad (LADS) played a major role in both scenes. In 1979 i a was a kid and i remember seeing Los Angeles Death Squad spray painted in black on Hollywood BLVD. These days there are tons of bands, artists, marketers, entrepenuers and the like who at least owe them a Thank You. I've come to the conclusion that history must be properly tattooed with the vestige that remains of their story. 30 years later a lot has transpired and i am asking these homeboys and those who know them and knew them to write here so we can make a book. This is for the fallen heads that we will never forget - always knowing we share the same destiny. This is for the heads who lived and the brave who made peace. This is the only blog i will keep on his profile until it becomes a reality. Uncle Monster

Historically attendees number from 150 on the low side to 450 on the high side. car pool or take blue bus no. 7 to motor ave This event is a community run event, and is free to anyone in the community who wants to spend a Thanksgiving together with friend who could not make it home to to be with family.Be where all truly have reason to give thanks, including the animals that are not being eaten here. It is a casual, fun, and meaningful afternoon in the park, which has historically had beautiful weather,. Featured are literature tables, and an open mike. Attendees are encouraged to carpool take Blue bus bus no. 7 bring musical instruments, as well as balls, frisbees, and other games to play in the spacious open park setting. Well-behaved dogs on leash are welcome. While this is a free event, attendees should bring a vegan dish to share, (to serve at least eight), with a card stating the ingredients of the creation, (especially for those with food allergies about which they need to be conscious). Also, it is important that attendees bring any serving utensils needed for their dishes, as well as washable/reusable plates, cups, napkins and utensils for personal usage. Kwisþ	Nov 12 2009 6:31 PM New Fifty Foot Hose CD! http://anthologyrecordings.com/release.asp?album=FOgIMVzZlkK Recorded: live on March 16, 2003 at the Beta Lounge in San Francisco In 1967, San Francisco’s Fifty Foot Hose were certainly one of the innovators of a sound that took Psychedelia to new heights and was captured on the band’s one record, Cauldron. They are a totally unique hybrid—on one hand pulsating bay area acid rock, on the other, fractured electronic freakery, becoming one whole cohesive being. The sci-fi-ish video game-like artwork hinted at the sounds within, as did the Limelight label’s pedigree for truly progressive sounds. Band leader, Cork Marcheschi, used homemade electronic devices to create crude and experimental soundscapes and instrumental compositions that were sprinkled throughout the album. Often starting shows with a swelling rumble that exploded into the first song, they soon developed a rabid following on the SF scene, though there was the occasional totally wrong gig, like when a very-pregnant Nancy had to perform at a Catholic Girls’ school! Still, the group wowed the crowds, performing with greats like Chuck Berry and Fairport Convention.
