KYKLOOPPEIN SUKUPUUTTO was formed in Autumn 2003 with an aim to play rapid and restless, catchy old fashioned yet experimenting hard core punk with non-dogmatic political/personal lyrics and general attitude. The band has gone through a few line-up changes on bassist and vocalist. The discography comprises of a demo (2004), two ep's "Kuuluuko Meidän Todella?" & "Helvetin Elementit" (2005), a split ep w/Death Token (DK) (2006) and a s/t LP (2007). KS has toured occasionally in Finland and elsewhere in Europe (Switzerland, Denmark, France, Sweden, and Italy separately) and in Australia for a month.
The band is on a temporary break due to some members moving, but is going to still stay active in record and touring fronts.
The name of the group, which translates to 'the Extinction of Cyclops', indicates destruction of bigotry.
Every solution is a decision, either more or less intended or serious, but still a decision. In whatever we do, we combine sense and sensibility, either intentionally and consciously or not. Everything has to do with art and politics, which both after all should be seen as human interaction. Nothing is perfect, as said, but everything holds a direction on which we can choose to either act or just react.
Every word of differentiation from the enervating world around us, which constantly fails to ask permission to intervene with all forms of existence, can be a word supporting a better environment, based on different, more responsible and constructive premises. Respect is granted only to those equally giving it. This concerns all institutions and each individual. Responsability holds things both done and undone. Environment, eventually means the whole surrounding reality.
We do not believe in orthodoxy nor authority but in discussion. All action can be seen as communication. There's no out-of-date final orders, no one-sided final statements but a stream of communication, as opposed to how any concentrated power and ever-increasing expert power in the modern society is modifying us to see life.
