THE HISTORY
The day Colin Benders (Kyteman), age 18, moved into his apartment in Utrecht-Overvecht he started to work day and mostly nights, on his debut album. At the same time he started performing with Holland’s biggest, like Relax, Krezip, Voicst and C-mon & Kypski and participated in the ON productions Space invasiON and Dutch Rare Groove.
THE ALBUM
Now, three years later, he presents his music. The album by the appropriate name ‘The Hermit Sessions’ is a reflection of Kytemans vision on hip hop: optimistic, soulful and pushing the boundaries of jazzy, lyrical hip-hop. The Big Question is: when will the record be out!? Save up your money till February 2009 and buy the limited edition designed by Hotel or a regular one, when you are just in it for the music!
THE ORCHESTRA
Kyteman's hiphop orchestra has grown into a monster project. Starting out as Colin Benders playing all the instruments on ‘The Hermit Sessions’ , at the live shows the stage is filled with 12 musicians and 8 mc’s. Kyteman's hiphop orchestra is immensely dynamic, divers, equally explosive and whispering, with lyrics in English and French. But above all, it is an overwhelming live experience. The orchestra has three violin players, a cellist, three horn player, keys, drummer, percussionist, bass player and of course the trumpet of Kyteman himself.
Kyteman conducts his orchestra with a top hat and a steady hand and without compromising his great trumpet playing.

Jullie ding is vet! alles is jullie gegunt vannuit G-town. Reazun was onze buurman op Dour, heerlijke vibe hangt er om jullie heen dat moge duidelijk zijn. Sindsdien draaien we jullie plaatje ook in ons repetoire, al hoort ie nog steeds op vinyl, ben de eerste die hem koopt. Moest het nog ff zeggen, zijn van die dingen die erbij inschieten.
Alvast bedankt voor een spetterend optreden op pole pole festival. Heb met open mond voor en on stage ervan kunnen genieten!!!! Schitterend uitgewerkt en voor mij 't beste optreden van de zomer en dat waren er heel wat!!! (ondanks de typisch lauwe Belgische (re)actie op muziek die een beetje inspanning vraagt om van te genieten :-) Sales are up with one en iedereen zal 't geweten hebben.
