On her musical debut album, "Brujalicious", longtime La Bruja fans will embrace the infectious settings of her trademark lyrical skills in "Keep it Movin Like", "Nuyorico", and a hip-hop-flavored reggaeton cover of Madonna's "La Isla Bonita" and her fresh yet reverent treatment of traditional Puerto Rican bomba y plena and salsa in "Boricua, Boricua" and "Brujeria". But anyone who knows anything about La Bruja knows she never fails to surprise. She comes through again, revealing a husky, soulful alto in the album's musical refrains, and pushing boundaries with her catchy-as-it-is-sexy reggaeton "Mi Gatita Negra" and the steamy ballad "My Heart Go".

- NY DAILY NEWS -
"La Bruja is being billed as "reggaeton" but actually her Spanglish 'mixtape' Brujalicious (mixed by DJ Precision of The X-ecutioners; featuring contributions from Jadakiss, Tony Touch, The Jungle Brothers, and B-Real of Cypress Hill) is funnier, sprightlier and less self-defeatingly bullying than most music given said designation; it bubbles those bomba beats...."
- THE VILLAGE VOICE -
"Inhabiting a cross section of somewhere between intellectual goddess, streetwise shortie and old school witchcraft, La Bruja is an enchantress of the highest caliber - stirring up a plenty pot of poetry and music and a steaming hot agenda for social change."
- URBAN LATINO MAGAZINE -
"La Bruja definitely worked her magic on Brujalicious as only she can do. The Boogie-Rican captivates the listener with her brujeria, delivering her supernatural poetic skills and leaving one in desperate need of a santero's help. La Bruja is on fire, her fiery lyrics leave her fans with permanent third-degree burns on their minds"
- FUEGO MAGAZINE -
"In a packed New York reggaeton scene, this artist stands out by keeping her genre's trademark hard, skipping beat but omitting the surfeit of kitschy sound effects and throwaway lyrics. As a result, we can really hear her voice, and it's a good one: strong and clear, belting Spanish and English with equal aplomb."
- DOWNLOAD.COM -
"La Bruja is an extremely talented all around artist who is not just jumping on the music bandwagon, she was doing Reggaeton before it even became popular, there's no limit to what she's capable of; La Bruja's time is coming!"

TODAY'S YOUNG LATINA bridges the rich cultural traditions of her heritage and the exciting life opportunities available to her as a 21st-century American girl. While she deserves the best of both worlds, the statistics reflect a darker reality: Caught between conflicting cultures and generations, overlooked and underserved, she is at greater risk of attempting suicide, leaving school and becoming a teenage mother, than her peers.*
*"Young Latinas and A Cry For Help." The New York Times, July 21, 2006 El Diario, December 2006
WE ALREADY HAVE the ability to help today's young Latina: We can reach out to her in school, educate her about safe sex, drugs, and the consequences of teen pregnancy, and help her develop the tools to express her emotions in healthy ways - through art and open communication. We can be positive role models and share our honest experiences, so she knows she's not alone, and we can contribute our talents and time. Let's do it! Join me in Latinas4Life.
