Other festival selections that will be of interest to music fans include Hunky Dory, a musical from the producers of Billy Elliot that features popular songs from the '70s, and Backbeat, which focuses on The Beatles' pre-fame.

Go Team Yorkshire! "Athletes from Yorkshire have now bagged five golds, two silvers and three bronze medals, and the county has produced some of the biggest stars of the Games so far."
London 2012: Brownlee Brothers Win Means Yorkshire Would Be Seventh In Medals Table
Could the Olympics see the start of a call for a Yorkshire republic as the county decides, justifiably, that the rest of the UK is holding it back? The county, known as "God's own country", would be tenth in the medals table - above the Netherlands, New Zealand, South Africa and Australia - if it…

Oooh, this is cool.
This is bigger than Zachary Quinto playing Spock, and even bigger than David Tennant showing up in a Harry Potter movie. Christopher Eccleston, best known in Nerdville for playing the ninth incarnation of the Doctor on Doctor Who , has snagged the lead villain role in Thor 2: The Dark World .

About me:
Ms Powers is an international woman of mystery. She's a Brit who lives in LA, who relishes the clash of cultures and tries to keep a foot on each side of the pond. She's spent much of her time abroad trying to recreate the definitive M&S prawn & mayo sandwich, but deviates from the English norm when it comes to tea. She prefers pearl jasmine to anything resembling PG, and (gasp, horror) never drinks it with milk (which explains why she had to leave the UK). Nicole believes conversation is a highly underrated art form, and that it's always tea time somewhere in the world. Put the kettle on, and let's sit down and have a chat.Who I'd like to meet:
Eccentrics, conversationalists, tea drinkers, and Russell Brand (who I believe is all three).Interests
