Lance discusses the upcoming Presidential Candidate Forum on cancer - hope to see you there!
Greetings, all! Chris here, 10-year cancer survivor, LAF staff member, and the grassroots events coordinator here in Austin. We hope you'll want to join Lance and our team in the fight against cancer. We're here in force on MySpace and no strangers to the web: check out our award-winning site at www.livestrong.org - Carpe Diem!
More than 10 million Americans are currently living with, through or beyond cancer.
More than 1.3 million people in the U.S. will be diagnosed with cancer this year.
Of adults diagnosed with cancer today, 64% will be alive five years from now.
One in three people will be diagnosed with cancer during their lifetime.
Three in four families will care for a family member with cancer.
1,500 people will die today from cancer, 1/3 of those could live just with better access to existing care
Who I'd like to meet: You! We're always looking for people to join Team LIVESTRONG - need help with cancer? want to become an advocate or a volunteer? maybe be a fundraiser for the LAF either through our LIVESTRONG Challenge Series or our grassroots program? - it's all good and we look forward to hearing from you soon...

Thank You to ALL my myspace friends, for being some of the best friends, this man could get. I know there are other great pages out there, but they just might have to find me, cause my big push for friends, ended, a long time ago. I want to Thank, all the pages I have missed along the way. I was at the Relay For Life, here in York, Pa recently and it was good for my soul, at least I hope I got one, that keeps track of what I've done and doing these days. I made a pledge, to help people not smoke so much, stop or not start at all. I think it's a great idea, especially for people who currently smoke, if you can help out. You DON'T have to smoke, if your ready to quit than do it, with a positive attitude, it might be alot easier than you think. If you try, you'll quickly find that some things help and possibly some things that don't help, but keep up the good work and it will be over, before you know it. Good Love to you and all that you do, and Thanks for tryin, see you later. This is your friend Sean and I approve this message, just joking, see you later.
Bobbi’s Million Dollar Mission Has Started! And Bobbi needs all of our help to reach her million dollar goal. We all can do this! Give as much as you can. Even if it’s a $1 every penny and dollar counts.
Pancreatic cancer has the worst survival rate and is the most under funded of all major cancers. 75% of pancreatic cancer patients will die within 12 months and less than 5% survive for five years!!! The only way to change the horrible statistics is to raise as much money as possible for research! We’ve seen what research efforts have done for other diseases. Let’s raise money to fund research NOW for pancreatic cancer and not let another person lose someone they love.

...so inspired by the Lance story, I have written my own book (Suck it up, Buttercup!)...Lance is acknowledged in it as well...The way that I figure is, if Lance can do what he DID...surely you and I don't have an excuse for not trying...hence the title...SUCK IT UP BUTTERCUP! Rock on Lance!
Thank you for adding us as a friend to the Lance Armstrong foundation. Our family wants to help win the battle against cancer. The Relay for Life is just around the corner!
