**********
We signed our record deal in 2005 with Dangerbird Records situated in the heart of Hollywood. Label mates include Silversun Pickups, Eulogies, Sea Wolf, All Smiles, One A.M Radio, Eric Avery, Darker My Love and The Dappled Cities. Chrysalis Publishing USA became our close friends and publishing partners that year too, so it is only right that we should pack our duffle bags and set up camp in the USA. We recorded our debut album 'The Truth' with Mr. Tony Hoffer (Beck, Air, Supergrass, Belle & Sebastian, La Rocca, heh heh) and released it in the US on the 10th of August 2006. Most of last year was spent criss crossing the States promoting the album playing gigs and tours with the likes of Phoenix, Birdmonster, Roman Candle, Sam Roberts Band, Cold War Kids and so on. We ate in Austin, drank in New York, Gambled in Mesquite and got robbed in Philadelphia. It's a big country and we made a nice dent in it, for a debut record.
Album 2, which is called ‘Ok Okay’ was recorded at the tail end of last year in lovely Austin, Texas with producer Mr. Mike McCarthy (Spoon, And You’ll Know Us By The Trail of Our Dead) and will be released in the US on September 9th 2008. 'The Truth' was released in Ireland in March 2008 and we hope to get ‘Ok Okay’ released there also soon. Our music has been featured on TVshows like ‘The OC’, ‘One Tree Hill’ and films like ‘50 Pills’ and ‘Mr Woodcock’. We also had the honour of being the only Irish band to be featured on EA Sports ‘FIFA 08’. Our song ‘Sketches (20something life) is the opening track.
Feel free to email us or message us. We do our best to message fans back.
Hey La Rocca, Stopped by to say hello and check in on your music. Great songwriting gents... We're honored to be friends and welcome you to the HEALIOS experience. All the best to you, Johnny D from the band HEALIOS
Great music! Thanks for your friendship, and welcome aboard the Redline ship. Looking forward to sharing the journey ahead with you. Take Care, and thanks again. Peace,
One of your songs is played in the film 50 Pills along with six others. This one, however, doesn't seem to appear on any albums or EPs that you have released. The name of the song is Cross the River. Though they are not on The Truth or OK Okay, Home and Cambodia, which are played in the film, are on the Sing Song Sung EP. I believe that you may have had Cross the River on your MySpace profile for a little while but I have been unable to locate it elsewhere. Have you any plans to feature the track on an upcoming release?
I did find a cool interview with Tripple J from 2006 in which you discuss writing Sketches, my favorite of your songs. That song is lyrically brilliant!
Also, I currently reside in the Kansas City area and hope that you guys will play somewhere near here at some point!
