I started my so called musiccareer as the lead singer in a local punkband in Uddevalla called Straw Dogs 1981-1984. Next band was The Glory Guys 1984 - 1986. Followed by The Parrots 1987 - 1997. In 1995 I formed another band called TribeLars which later on has been the name of the group who back me up live. Feat Peter Hansson: Bass and Alexander: Cajon. We have opened for bands like The New Christs, Bue King Brown, Chris Bailey etc etc
I/we have during the years toured in countries like Canada, Italy, Germany, The Netherlands, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Finland, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Australia. Sometimes solo, sometimes together with TribeLars and sometimes with the Aboriginal band The White Cockatoo Performing Group from Maningrida/Wugularr in Arnhem Land Australia + a lot's of workshops and lectures.
I bought my first didjeridu in Sydney, jan 1989. Since then I have participated in workshops to learn traditional style with masters such as David Blanasi, Tom Kelly, Darryl Dikarrna, Milikay Munungurr and Djalu Gurruwiwi. Charlie McMahon etc to learn contemporary style.
My Aboriginal skinname given to me by Tom Kelly in Wugularr is Bangardi and I belong to the Yirritja Moity. I was born in Lysekil, Bohuslan Sweden a long time ago. I think they call it the swinging 60's! I Grew up in Gothenburg and later on in Uddevalla were I got my teenage kicks! I live with my wife Sari and her two teenage boys + 3 cats, I have a grown up daughter who lives on her own. I'm softhearted when it comes to animals, the cats are wildcats who we adopted when their mother got runned over, I have on and off tried to not eat anything with a face, (I'm vegetarian) . I try to buy organic and fairtrade food. Nowadays I work as a webdesigner for a magazine. I love travelling ! Whatever, send me an email if you want to know more. Meantime please enjoy the site. This is my book "Aboriginer & Didjeridu". Released in april 2007. 250 pages packed with stories from the road with The White Cockatoo, bushtrips in Australia, pictures, history and facts about the didj and the aboriginal culture. Awesome book if you ask me, I wrote it *laugh*. The book also contains instructions about how to play didjeridu, Yidaki and Mago. Interviews with Darryl Dikarrna and the old master David Blanasi.
