Such A Time

L.A.Symphony
Fans should continue to expect big things from the five core members (CookBook, Flynn Adam, Joey the Jerk, Sharlok Poems, and UNO Mas) of L.A. Symphony. In the summer of 07 the group released "Unleashed", a mixtape of rare and unreleased tracks recorded at various times throughout the past 8 years. The mixtape has garnered great reviews with songs finding their way on numerous placements including the xbox video game NFL tour.
The sound of L.A.Symphony more accurately represents the city of Los Angeles than the thug'd out, over done, over hyped, gimmicky and most of the time sensationalized violent story telling rap that the city is famously known for cultivating. In 2002, the group was recognized with the MVP award for best Hip-Hop/Rap in Los Angeles by LA Weekly. With an incredible package of mature yet still ridiculously fun and colorful emcees who shine as individuals yet assemble to become one dominant unit the likes of the cartoon character Voltron, time after time L.A. Symphony continues to show the world that these emcees can flip any style at any given moment, their music is as diverse as the city they represent.
After the success of previous works like Disappear Here, Less Than Zero, The End is Now, Composition No.1, Baloney, and the critically acclaimed un-released album "Call It What You Want", the group has demonstrated that it definitely has a bright career ahead of them and by the time it is all said, there will be no choice but to remember them as some of the best artists to ever represent the left coast.
Every single member of the crew has released solo works and has more than paid the so called dues that the culture requires of them. L.A.Symphony possess the type of love and respect from fans and peers that traditionally takes decades and millions of albums sold to establish.
Aside from touring worldwide with other major label artist while proudly remaining underground, the group has recorded with artists the likes of Mario C (Beastie Boys), will.I.am (Black Eyed Peas), Black Eyed Peas, Posdnous (De La Soul), Fatlip (The Pharcyde), and Prince Paul (Handsome Boy Modeling School). The new LP Disappear Here will feature guest appearance from Murs of Living Legends, DJ Rhettmatic, and Tonex, along with production from Madlib, Evidence from Dilated Peoples, Sup the Chemist, and Great Jason. The crew has no intentions of letting up, and for anyone who has ever called themselves a fan of hip hop this is a good thing!
Hi L.A.Symphony, Your eyes are like spheres of crystal water filled with shimmering dreams. I find your eyes to be a wondrous amusement park filled with neo-plastic pleasures and turkish delights. The sand runes crossing your divided consciousness do speak of contemptuous monsters being slayed by flying phoenixes. May you always have stables of horses to service your needs. Entranced by the sweet harmony of your lips, I gaze beyond reason to find the oasis of your brilliant soul. I relentlessly desire cotton candy lollipops. The skin I shed is a perfume that makes water bubbles so terribly clear to me. Your tears evoke a taste as memorable as honey. As the bliss slowly rises in my incandescent eluxulator, your mere presence has a euphoric effect upon me. Your layers of absinthe and torsion form concretions of hyper-alimentation. In your absence I am forced into finding other forms of amusement while thinking about you. You ever remind me of the enigma of happy thoughts I once forgot. Panoramic aromavision is the future.
