Laura Pron nació en Avellaneda, Provincia de Buenos Aires el 8 de Julio de 1968. Comenzó su carrera integrando el coro juvenil de la Escuela Municipal de Quilmes dirijido por Fabio Cifres y Juan Casabellas desde 1991 a 1993. Durante esos años también tomó clases de teatro en talleres municipales e integró compañías independientes. Desde el año 93 al 96 integró la banda “Color a Vicio” con influencias de Rock, Funk y Heavy.
En los años 96 al 98 tomó clases de canto con el profesor argentino, Pablo Enricci y formó una banda con influencias Soul y Funk llamada “Viejo Harlem”.
Luego de la separación de “Viejo Harlem” Laura Pron trabaja con un repertorio de covers nacionales e internacionales junto al guitarrista Maximiliano Serrano.
En el año 2001 forma “Laura Pron Tango” acompañada por las guitarras de Omar Medina, Nicolás Pacheco y Julián Hermida con quienes recorre el circuito de Tango nacional dando conciertos hasta el año 2002.
Durante el transcurso del 2003 trabaja como vocalista sesionista en distintos proyectos independientes.
En el 2004 se reúne con el músico Sergio Adanis con quien graba “Sesiones Experimentales”. Durante ese periodo se gesta también la banda de sonido de la obra Piedad, del grupo de teatro argentino “T.S.O.”, que luego la convoca en el año 2005 para integrar el espectáculo de multimedia “Piedad” representando 24 funciones en el Centro Cultural Recoleta, Buenos Aires. Durante ese año y hasta el presente trabaja para eventos y shows privados junto a T.S.O.
En el año 2006, otra vez junto a T.S.O., realiza la apertura del Festival Folklórico Cosquín, en la ciudad de Córdoba, cantando el Himno Nacional Argentino.
Actualmente trabaja en su nuevo proyecto de Tango, "Alma Negra", y ensaya para la próxima obra teatral de T.S.O.
Laura Pron was born in Buenos Aires, Avellaneda on the 8th of July, 1968. Laura’s music career began in 1991 by joining the Quilmes’s juvenile school choir directed by Fabio Cifres and Juan Casabellas, with whom she worked until 1993. Among those years, she took acting lessons at different municipal theater workshops and also joined to different acting studios.
From years ’93 until ’96, she sang in an indie band, “Color a Vicio,” which had Rock, Funk and Heavy Metal influences.
During the years of ’96 till ’98 she took singing lessons with the Argentinean professor, Pablo Enricci and she formed a band, “Viejo Harlem,” in which she was the main singer and composer. The band had Soul and Funk influences.
After “Viejo Harlem” disbanded, Laura Pron worked as a cover singer with an Argentinean guitarist, Maximiliano Serrano.
In the year 2001 she created “Laura Pron Tango” with Argentinean guitarists Omar Medina, Nicolás Pacheco, and Julián Hermida. “Laura Pron Tango” played in the Argentinian Tango scene until 2002.
During 2003, she had worked as a sessionist vocalist for different independent projects.
In the year 2004 she got together with an Argentinean musician, Sergio Adanis, with whom she recorded the “Experimental Sessions.” During the same period, they also began creating the soundtrack for a play named “Piedad” from an Argentinean theater company called “T.S.O.” Later in the year 2005, “T.S.O.” called her to join the multimedia play, “Piedad.” Laura Pron acted and sang on 24 “Piedad” live performances at the “Centro Cultural Recoleta” theater in Buenos Aires. During the same year and until the present she has been working in private parties and events together with “T.S.O.”
In the year 2006, she opened the Argentinean Folkloric Fest “Cosquin”, at the state of Cordoba, singing the Argentinean National Anthem.
Currently, she works in her independent Tango project, “Alma Negra,” and is rehearsing for a new “T.S.O.” play that will be released soon.
Hola Laura!!!! como va...felicitaciones por tus trabajos......de verdad me encanta tu voz......yho soy de Argentina.....(Cordoba)...pero ahora estoy haciendo musica en Alemania...tango....funk/jazz.....y otras producciones.....de otros estilos........el prox anio tengo que organizar un ciclo de musica latinoamericana........y me gustaria que participaras....yho me voy para Argentina a pasar el verano....estamos en contacto.......Besos y un abrazo Argentino desde Alemania...........
