At the beginning of the 80s, he participates in the hatching of the first independent radio stations on the band FM and acquires his first work experiences as presenter and of DJ. In 1984, to promote the profession badly recognized by this time, he creates the French Association of the Disc jockeys which wears the name of Mind Odyssey today.
In the course of the years, thanks to his rigour, his constancy and his talent, he skims the majority of the clubs of the Parisian suburb then those of Paris (the Elysee Matignon, Safari (today the Nirvana), Wizz bobino (where he plays the first House tracks, the PALACE, les BAINS DOUCHES, etc...
In 1988, he obtains the championship of Paris from the DJ and is classified finalist in European championships. Fascinated of mix, of mixtures of the musical colors, eager for new sounds and to make share the listening of ,its last ones vinyls in his circle of acquaintances, he becomes in 1989 the resident DJ of BOY''s mythical French First Electronic Club (avenue Caumartin, Paris) and contributes widely to create the Techno movement in France through some techno clubs and the first Raves & Partys. Afterward, he takes the Artistic direction of the Memorie , becomes in 1992, the first DJ du QUEEN (avenue of Champs Elysees, Paris). In 1994, he fond Step 2 House with the label Happy Music where, at the same time as his musical productions, he will be Director and Artistic Producer of about twenty artists, today, for the greater part, recognized internationally . (TRANSWAVE, MK ULTRA. RAM441,ect....)
Today his(her,its) poles of interest turn more to the production and he considers more as sound plastics technician than as a composer. He is closely interested in the behavioral analyses and in the dynamics of groups, the musicology and the therapy by sounds. He work since almost 15 years in productions in favour of the Peace in the world and always stays in the listening of projects or artistic collaborations which go to this direction.
Laurent Mayer ! Ce qu’on peut dire de lui c’est qu’il est un shooté du polychlorure de vinyle. un accro du son. A treize ans, il sait parfaitement mixer puis, parallèlement à ses études de Commerce, devient l’un des plus jeunes DJ de France.

En 1988, il obtient le titre de champion de Paris des DJ et se classe finaliste aux Championnats d’Europe. Passionné de mix, de mélanges des couleurs musicales, avide de nouveaux sons et de faire partager l’écoute de ses dernières « galettes » à son entourage, il devient en 1989 le DJ résident du mythique Boy’s (avenue Caumartin, Paris) premier Club francais Electro et contribue largement à faire naître le mouvement Techno en France à travers les quelques clubs techno et les premières Raves.
Par la suite, il prend la direction du Memorie’s (porte Maillot), devient en 1992, le premier DJ du Queen (avenue des Champs Elysées, Paris). En 1994, il fonde Step 2 House avec le label Happy Music où, parallèlement à ses productions musicales, il sera Directeur & Producteur Artistique d’une vingtaine d’artistes, aujourd’hui, pour la plupart, reconnus internationalement. Aujourd’hui ses pôles d’intérêt se tournent plus vers la production et il se considère davantage comme plasticien sonore que comme compositeur.
Il s’intéresse de près aux analyses comportementales et aux dynamiques de groupes, la musicologie et la thérapie par les sons. Il vient d’achever plusieurs albums dont certains en faveur de la Paix dans le monde et reste toujours à l’écoute de projets ou de collaborations artistiques qui vont dans ce sens.

Specimen (Fresh from a fantastic show at Leipzig’s Waves Gotik festival), the original Batcave instigators will headline the lurid frolics at the Embassy Club, (29 Old Burlington St, London W1S3AP) Also on the bill are original Batcavers Sexbeat, with DJs Hamish and Cavey Nick, cavorting from decks to decadence with the usual brutal, trouser-dropping surprises & suitably confronting & barbaric entertainment.
