The Band
The band was formed in 2007 by 4 guys from the "mountain country" of middle Sweden called Bergslagen. Here in the backwoods all the members had played in different bands and setups since the early seventies and eighties. Drummer Kenth Olsson and guitarist Kjell Store, also in the Örebro based Chicago-style band Blues Solution, both had a previous background from different local blues bands. Singer-songwriter and harmonica player Kent Liljendahl and bassist Per Stenmark where members of the Mojodoc Blues Band, with who they recorded the album "Ain't Much to Worry About" in 2001. They also played and toured with Boogie Doctors, a local blues-rock band famous in the late eighties and early nineties.
Lazy Roosters, Winner of the 2008 Scandinavian Blues Contest.
Lazy Roosters won the 2008 finals at the SBC. This is what the jury wrote about the band: "A solid musical performance, with good groove by a tight band. The band features a top-rate singer and harmonica player, which makes the band stand out."
