We destroy the love of learning in children, which is so strong when they are small, by encouraging and compelling them to work for petty and contemptible rewards.”John Holt

“It is as true now as it was then that no matter what tests show, very little of what is taught in school is learned, very little of what is learned is remembered, and very little of what is remembered is used. The things we learn, remember, and use are the things we seek out or meet in the daily, serious, nonschool parts of our lives.”
~John Holt~ How Children Fail
Well... if you want to get technical it was "Feather Bean the Dancin' Machine" when I was little. it evolved into a more, somewhat acceptable name for a teenager to be called by family members later on. :-)
I KNOW! LOL! His name is Peter, he now lives in NC (go figure :P), and he was a friend of our neighbors/good friends Mark & Melissa. So they had a few drinks one night, and we took that pic. Liss loved it cause she said with me laughing, I looked drunk, even though I wasn't. LOL! Oh yes, and the house is amazing, huh? I love it, for however long we get the treat of living in it. ^_^ I love you! ((Hugs)) ♥Le Beanay
Thank you for being here during all this gunk. I've read your mail several times, and it's just lifted me up inside, even when I felt hopeless. Thank you, for giving of yourself, and caring about us! We both love you!
Well, that's sort of understandable...When I lived up north snow got old fast because it would make everything dirty and it would come when you just didn't want it...like in March, lol.
But now that I live down here I miss it...
And my status is like that for my boyfriend...We want to go somewhere snowy together=D
Thanks for asking Stephanie. Trying all the way around, really. It's mainly the whole stupid job thing. I've worked hard to find something and one came through, but it's the one I wanted the least. Not to sound ungrateful....I know a lot of people don't even have jobs but I have never been the typical 9-5'er anyway, ya know? Unschooling opened my eyes to that more than ever. This is just not where I pictured myself to be at this point of my life. I gotta run for now. Have to be there by 8:00 am. No one should have to get up, out and about this early! Ugh! :o( Talk to you later.
