Formed in the early part of the Pliocene age, BATS (featuring ex-members of
Martha Washington) have spent millions of years developing their sound from
a series of intermittent bleeps to the sexy sonic bullets they create today.
4 out of 5 BATS hail from Ireland's alpha-smoke- Dublin, while the other
crawled his way on bloody knuckles out of the haunted town of Carbury,
Kildare in the mid 1600's.
In early 2007 BATS began peddling their love around the island and have
since played support to such acts as Gang Gang Dance, Down I Go, The Locust
and Liars. December 2007 sees the release on independent label Armed
Ambitions of their debut EP entitled 'Cruel Sea Scientist' and the
frightening of some smaller children.
Strong supporters of the Earth to space elevator and strong opposers of the
plan to strip-mine the moon for Helium 3, BATS strive to disperse their
audio seed into the ears and minds of as many receptive humans as possible.
They do so with valiant gusto and in the face of a limited gene pool.
A product of Natural Selection, a constant source of erection. BATS.

We're hosting 10 competitivelive music events over the summer and the best act from each event will go forward to play it out at the ‘LA or Busk’ Finals in Dublin. The overall winner will get a trip to Los Angeles to play a showcase event in front of music professionals!
How to enter 1. Collect 25 mastheads (that’s the title banner on the front page of the Sunday World). 2. Set up your band/artist profile on www. blastspace. com – you must write a band biography, including names, location, what instruments members play and a brief history. You must also upload at least 1 original music track (MP3) and two good quality band photographs. 3. Add ‘LA or Busk’ profile as a friend. 4. Send your 25 Sunday World mastheads along with the Sunday World application form to: LA or Busk Competition, Blastbeat Ltd, 7-8 Mount Street Crescent, Dublin 2, Ireland. Our panel of experts will then choose the best 8 bands for each event, and inform them of the event they have been chosen for. Please note that the panel’s decision is final.
There are both all ages and over 18s events and there are dates in Cork, Dublin, Galway, Belfast, Derry and Limerick so log onto www. blastspace. com/laorbusk for more details!
No probs at all. If only all house guests spring cleaned the flat after pyjama parties... We're hugely up for coming to Dublin at some point. Bats are the law.

i'm glad you like our music as much as i enjoyed yours! :D That fest is def mega. I think we're playing California Metal Fest as well. Come tour! Stay at my house, my parents love Irish and Ireland in general.
maybe i'll meet you in like a year, when i turn 18. Apparently i'm going drinking in Dublin for my 18th. hahaa :D
my parents were just in Ireland for a week, and they went to Tower and were talking to a guy who works there and I guess they asked about good Irish Metal bands to get me into. But the guy sold them your cd and I listened to it today and think its pretty rad!
:D very original, reminds me of Evergreen Terrace. so you guys should check out my band Persia (myspace. com/persiametal) we're a little heavier than you might be into. But tell all your Irish homies, and lets be friends!
I heard of it through this music community I go to, www. sputnikmusic. com. Thanks for the nice comments about our music, we will hopefully be putting up some much better stuff within the next month or so. ---Jonathan
