Sounds Like
A bloke singing songs and playing guitar with passion and self-belief.
At my live shows I play electro-acoustic guitar and sing my own songs. I also rehearse and record at home using a digital four-track studio with drum loops and effects.
I recorded my live studio album in 2007, recorded by Luke at Windswept Studios. Future "releases" have been full-on four-track demos.
I was born in LEICESTER way back in 1971 when "Space 1999" was the accepted vision of the future and there'd be no roads after 2001 cos we'd all have hover-cars.......er....anyway.....I have lived in SALISBURY for over 15 years now, originally posted down here with the RAF, which I left in 2000. I've been writing songs since the early 90's. Influenced by MADCHESTER, Baggy, Shoegazing and all that and particularly the "Stourbridge three" -
P W E I, Wonderstuff and Neds Atomic Dustbin. I'm continually influenced by a wide variety of other artists from The Who to the prodigy and Cream to Kasabian.
I first unleashed my songs on the public in 2001 and I continue to perform in pubs and at parties. I've played stadium gigs too....well, in a marquee on Salisbury City's FOOTBALL pitch! And in a bar within Southampton's St Marys! However, being from Leicester I am a Fox
My sets include my older classics as well as more recently penned tunes, plus occasionally some dodgy acoustic cover versions!
I'm in it for the enjoyment, but payment in a pint here and there doesn't go amiss. I also accept pounds sterling and euros.
Cheers Matt, for you to compare me to PWEI is a big compiment. I'll see/hear you at the boathouse on Saturday. Who's on first, you or Pete. P. S is there an open MIC at the Winchester Gate this Wednesday, if so I'll see you there
We have entered into the Don't Panic "innovation" poster competition. We need all the help we can get to make sure our poster is shown in the Manchester exhibition. Here is a little version:
Spent friday at the MCG with your clone - who had the england flag painted on his belly. He was you in every way except he did not love the leicester city quite so much.
