Wow, so many wonderful comments and memories. I just love hearing other peoples experiences at Legend City.

I live in Arizona. I just wanted to post that Channel 8, KAET, based at Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ, just did an interview on with my uncle louis.

It's called Arizona Stories. Here is a link to information about it on Channel 8's website.

I called the station and was told that they are going to make a 2 dvd boxset of Arizona Stories that will have this story on it.

Keep in mind, this is the only interview my uncle louis has ever done regarding Legend City, at least regarding his memories of it.

I will end by saying that I too remember so much from when Legend City was alive. My father used to run a concession stand where we mainly sold snowcones. What a fun time.

Don't forget to check out the show, Arizona Stories on Channel 8, KAET.

PEACE OUT
John

You asked why I portray a Confederate Soldier which is a Good Question; it actually took awhile for me to decide to join the 1st Virginia. I researched my family history and my family surname and found that 12 people with my last name fought in the Civil War, 6 on each side. That was by no means the determining factor. I also looked at both Civil War groups locally and determined that we liked the leadership of the Confederate Unit better then those of the Union groups in the area. I by no means support all of the beliefs and practices of the Confederacy, and am more a historian representing a single person’s life in the conflict rather then a set of beliefs. I enjoy the fellowship and family atmosphere of We Make History and the families involved. 10 years ago, when I started looking into this, I would have never joined a Confederate unit, so what it comes down to is the people involved in the organization and secondly that it is hard to reenact a Civil War battle with only one side. Hope this make since, John
