Is Florence a bit depressing and are Scouting For Girls samey? <br> Would you like to hear something unexpected yet joyous, edgy but catchy - something that is strongly original, refreshingly varied and totally new? Would you like to discover the new band that have been described as the missing link between Buzzcocks and Talking Heads? <br> If the answer to these questions is 'Yes', further explore the band who's website you have very kindly taken the time to visit: LEIKA <br> LEIKA.. are a London-based band that were originally formed in 2008. They have built up an ever-flourishing and loyal fan base thanks to their ability to blow crowds away with their blistering live performances and killer tunes <br> Some of the songs you are listening to are from their debut album 'Space on Tuesday', which showcases the attention-snatching sound that the band has arrived at from hard work and sheer bloody-mindedness. Strictly limited edition vinyl-CD copies of the album are currently available in London's coolest record shops (Sister Ray Records in Berwick Street Soho and All Age Records in Camden) or you can download it on iTunes from the following link: The recordings on this album were made at Plug Studios, Reading, by Russ Alsop who is ginger. <br> Leika continue to challenge the very best of indie rock and in doing so gain attention from scrapes, furtive associations, gentle nudges, and sometimes straightforward flattery from the likes of The Doves, Tim Burgess, Spencer Davis, and - weirdest of all- Bon Jovi. Thanks for taking the time to visit our website...

We are LEIKA - a London-based band formed in 2006. Like most bands, we can go on about how brilliant we are...but we wont. Click play on some of our songs to judge for yourself. Better still, come along to one (then more) of our live shows to see what all the fuss is about: why our fan base just keeps on growing.

We work really hard to produce music that we would happily listen to ourselves. We strive for original and intelligent songs with contagious melodies. We don't think we sound like anyone else out there at the moment, but we've been flatteringly described by some as the missing link between the Buzzcocks and Talking Heads.
