Le Mal D'Archive è un progetto a cavallo tra elettronica indipendente e sound design che vede il suo aspetto peculiare nell' intersezione tra due mondi apparentemente inconciliabili come quello della musica sperimentale da un lato e la "chanson" per lo più di matrice armonica e melodica patrimonio della musica italiana dall'altro.
Elementi paradigmatici di Battisti (primo in assoluto, maestro di una musica commerciale in grado di attenzione all'universo sonoro ed all'armonia), così come di Umberto Bindi, Gino Paoli, Marco Parente, Enzo Iannaci, Ivano Fossati, Fabrizio DeAndrè, Massimo Volume vengono evocati come numi tutelari, frammentati e dissolti in un magma sonoro omogeneo ed imperscrutabile, ma non per questo privo equilibrio così come di ampi momenti di gradevolezza.
Le strutture cicliche delle ballate della musica popolare, una volta sezionate, destrutturate, fatte risuonare e "funzionare" diventano frammento sonoro, portatore di spazi e luoghi fortemente connotati.
Queste capsule di immagine-tempo sono gli strumenti che i Le mal d'archive declinano spazialmente, in molteplici forgie.
La Chanson de Mai. Il nuovo E.P. de Le Mal d'Archive
LA CHANSON DE MAI (La Canzone del Maggio) richiama i 45 giri del passato, e vuole evocare i freddi degli inverni d'estate. Un maggio, non quello mitico del '68 parigino cantato dai grandi, ma uno semplice, reale, qualsiasi, il maggio del '94, memoriale e mitico come tutte le sciocchezze del passato. Quello dei Le Mal d'Archive è un'epica di tutti i giorni, ingegneria kitch condensata in 16 minuti.
Il loro ultimo lavoro è una gemma fatta di due canzoni incastonate, bordate, costrette tra tre lucide ossessioni fonetiche.
Formale, pulito, rischiosissimo, questo ep (i Le Mal d'Archive pubblicano solamente ep) di 16 minuti fonde in maniera
due anime, due talenti, due sensibilità, è per questo che rischia di non piacere a nessuno, perchè è al grado zero.

Le Mal D'Archive is a project at the turn of independent electronic and sound design that sees its distinctive feature in the intersection between two apparently irreconcilable worlds such as experimental music on the one hand and the "chanson" for the more harmonious and Matrix melodic heritage of Italian music on the other.

Pharadigmatic elements of Battisti (first of all, a master of music degree in commercial attention to the universe of sound and harmony), as well as Fabrizio DeAndrè, Leò Ferrè, George Brassens, Massimo Volume, and many others is mentioned as tutelar figures, fragmented and dissolved into a homogenous sound magma and inscrutable, but not for this lack of balance as large moments of pleasantness. The structures of cyclic ballads of popular music, once cut, destructured, with the ring out and "work" become sound fragment, bearer of spaces and places strong connotations.
