Lendi Vexer está formado por la compositora Natalie Naveira (voz, theremin, guitarras, cello y violín ente otros) y el productor Diego Guiñazu (bajo, moog, programaciones y orquestaciones).
El año 2000 fue testigo de los primeros trabajos compartidos por estos dos músicos del Trip Hop que venían experimentando en el estilo desde 1995 por caminos paralelos.
En el 2002 adoptaron el nombre definitivo de Lêndi Vexer , (en francés) algo así como lunes perturbador o fastidioso. Ya que en esos dos años anteriores estuvieron presentándose bajo otro nombre hasta “ese lunes” en que recibieron la notificación de que el nombre estaba en uso en el exterior y al estar ya su música sonando en Australia se vieron forzados a ese cambio, ironizando el momento llegó “Lêndi Vexer“ con una cuota de sátira y otra de realismo.
Lendi Vexer grabo su primer EP “promocional” en su estudio propio en el año 2002 (autoproducido CDR) llamado “Suicidal Adage”. Originalmente constaba de 4 tracks (Tribute to desolation, scape, nothing was special y Suicidal adage)
Decidieron colgarlo en Internet para la venta y se produjo el contacto con gente del exterior y con un sello independiente en Australia. Ellos los contactaron con distribuidoras y realizaron la difusión del EP. Una vez agotadas las primeras 500 unidades se re-lanzó en 2004 con un bonus track en el que Natalie ejecuta el Theremin en tiempo real. Este EP se re-editará con Stereotape Records. Sonando en los clubes de Australia por medio del Dj Tom Bollinger se hizo posible la primera versión Remix de la canción “Nothing was special” realizada por este gran colaborador australiano.
Al ir trascendiendo el material, en la web les solicitaron el permiso para realizar una segunda remix. Asi -en 2004- The Crimson Underground (U.K.-Irlanda del Norte) realizó la versión remix del tema “Suicidal adage”. El EP ya se distribuía por “Super D” (U.S.A.) y se encontraba a la venta en CDbaby, Amazon y en Tower Records U.S.A.
Ese mismo año -en Reino Unido y Brasil- Tripofagia (uno de los principales portales cultores del género Trip Hop) elige al EP “Suicidal Adage” como uno de los tres mejores EPs Trip Hop 2004. En el año 2005 la compañía Jun Group Entertainment, Inc elige a Lendi Vexer para formar parte del soundtrack del “Episodio 10” del show televisivo estadounidense llamado The scene -los tracks Nothing was special, Every Thing is Special Tom Bollinger MIX, “Suicidal adage” y “Tribute to desolation”- A finales de este mismo año se edita el compilado de Trip Hop “W.E.B” ( Wicked Electronic Beats vol.1) en UK y Brasil por el equipo de Tripofagia. Esta selección de artistas incluye a Lendi Vexer con el tema “Tribute to desolation”. Sobre esto Guto (Tripofagia) escribió "Tribute to Desolation is one of the nicest melancholic trip-hop songs I've ever heard..." en este compilado compartieron el disco -entre otros- con U-topia y Lovage (Mike Patton-Faith no more- y Dan The Automotor -productor de Gorillaz-). A comienzos del 2006 los contacta el artista colombiano Paddington Breaks por la rápida repercusión que tuvo el disco en la web. Él realizó la segunda versión remix de la canción Nothing was special. Mientras tanto en Argentina el EP se vendía en los shows en vivo que se hicieron de Niceto Club, Cemento, Especial, Remember Jazz Pub y El Argentino entre otros para luego continuar en el Auditorio Cendas, Virasoro Bar y Liberarte.
En 2007 lanzan, con su propio sello, el álbum The Process of Disillusion que consta de 13 tracks. Conjuga poesías -tristes y melancólicas- con un gran contenido crítico. Aborda géneros musicales como el Folk, la canción, los ritmos rotos, trip hop y un jazz desmantelado con reminiscencia al sonido de la vieja escuela de Bristol como Portishead, Tricky, Massive Attack o PJ Harvey. Lendi Vexer recorded its first promotional EP in its own studio in 2002 (self-produced CDR) called Suicidal Adage. Originally, it consisted of 4 tracks (Tribute to desolation, Scape, Nothing was special and Suicidal adage).
After deciding to upload it on the Internet for sale, the duo got in touch with people abroad and with an Australian independent label. They put them in contact with distributors and promoted the EP. Once the first 500 units were sold out, in 2004 the EP was relaunched with a bonus track in which Natalie plays the Theremin in real time. This EP will be re-edited by Stereotape Records. As DJ Tom Bollinger played it in Australian clubs, it was him, this great Australian collaborator, who made the first Remix version of the song Nothing was special.
As this material became known, on the web, the duo was asked for permission to make a second remix. Thus, in 2004, The Crimson Underground (UK-North Ireland) made the remixed version of the track Suicidal adage. The EP was already being distributed by “Super D” (US) and was for sale in Cdbaby, Amazon and in Tower Records U.S.
During that year, in the UK and Brazil, Tripofagia (the main Trip Hop site) chooses the EP Suicidal Adage as one of the best three Trip Hop EPs in 2004. In 2005, the company Jun Group Entertainment, Inc. chooses Lendi Vexer to become part of the soundtrack of the “Episode 10” of the American TV show called “The scene”. The selected tracks were Nothing was special, Every Thing is Special Tom Bollinger MIX, Suicidal adage and Tribute to desolation. By the end of that year, the Trip Hop compilation W.E.B (Wicked Electronic Beats vol.1) is edited in the UK and Brazil by Tripofagia’s team. This selection of artists includes Lendi Vexer with its song Tribute to desolation. About this, Guto (Tripofagia) wrote "Tribute to Desolation is one of the nicest melancholic trip-hop songs I've ever heard...". This record also included, among other artists, U-topia and Lovage (Mike Patton, from Faith no more and Dan The Automator, Gorillaz’s producer). By early 2006, due to the fast impact of the record on the web, the Colombian artist Paddington Breaks contacted Lendi Vexer. He made the second remixed version of the song Nothing was special. Meanwhile, in Argentina, the EP was sold in the live shows that took place in “Niceto Club”, “Cemento”, “Especial”, “Remember Jazz Pub” and “El Argentino”, among others for soon continuing in Auditorio Cendas, Virasoro Bar and Liberarte.
In 2007 they release, with its own label, the album The process of disillusion that consists of 13 tracks which explore the vocal variables inside the electronic music downtempo, conjugating sad and melancholic poetries with a strong critical content. It approaches musical genres as folk, song, broken beats, trip hop and a dismantled jazz reminiscent of the sound of the old school of Bristol, such as Portishead, Tricky, Massive Attack or PJ Harvey.
