November 2003, Juanma, the band founding member, begins such a hard journey in which 34 musicians had gone thru until having nowadays line up, which has grown stronger by means of a friendship and brotherhood, both forged as a devotion hammer against adversity. The band first two years were built up by constants "comings and goings" until the first line up was finally gotten to perform only a couple of times. Ranks were changed and between 2007 and 2008 the band was consolidated offering more than 30 live concerts. In January 2009 three members of the nowadays "Leonard Skinner" line up, Jose, Jaume & Juanma, were invited to perform at the Simple Man Cruise with the "International Lynyrd Skynyrd Tribute Band". Rickey Medlocke was the special guest as a part of the audience.
The same night, Juanma was invited also to jam with the Marshall Tucker Band, playing their emblematic song "Can't You See". Today, after the latest changes, the band starts again but now targetting abroad perfomances and counting with the blessing of Lynyrd Skynyrd themselves. "Leonard Skinner" is just a dream come true. One of the most consolidated Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute bands all over the globe. This band ain't got no "Best Before" date. Beside any difficulty the guys could ever find on the way (some oak trees have been found in the middle of somewhere), Leonard Skinner is climbing higher, looking for new challenges and new goals to reach. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Noviembre de 2003, el fundador de la banda, Juanma, comienza esta singladura por la que han pasado 34 músicos hasta llegar a la formación actual, consolidada por una amistad forjada a golpe de martillo contra el yunque de la adversidad. Los dos primeros años de la banda fueron un constante ir y venir de gente hasta que se logró cerrar la primera formación que solo ofreció un par de directos. Se renovaron las filas y entre los años 2007-2008 se consolidó la banda ofreciendo más de 30 conciertos. En Enero de 2009 tres miembros de la actual formación de “Leonard Skinner”, Jose, Jaume y Juanma, fueron invitados a tocar en el Simple Man Cruise con la “International Lynyrd Skynyrd Tribute Band” donde contaron entre el público con la presencia de Rickey Medlocke.
En el mismo evento Juanma tuvo el honor de ser invitado a tocar con la Marshall Tucker Band su canción emblemática “Can’t You See”. En la actualidad, tras los últimos cambios, la banda arranca de nuevo con la mirada puesta en el extranjero contando con la bendición de los mismísimos Lynyrd Skynyrd. “Leonard Skinner” es un sueño hecho realidad. Uno de los tributos a Lynyrd Skynyrd más consolidados de todo el mundo. Es una banda sin fecha de caducidad que, al margen de las contrariedades, se abre camino buscando nuevos retos y nuevas metas.
