Less of 12 is an alternative metal band formed in early 2005. Their initial set consisted of cover songs, but the band soon grew tired of performing other bands' material. In 2006, the they dove into the creation of original work.
The band's debut album, "Ominous", recorded and produced by Rob Kingrey, was released in the fall of 2007 and has received critical acclaim. "It's actually one of the few cds I can listen to from beginning to end...", quotes producer/sound engineer Devin Becker.
One of the key themes of "Ominous" is the promotion of individual thought by questioning what you've been conditioned to believe and coming to your own conclusions. The most important factor in the album's writing process was to be as indirect as possible about the song meanings in order to provide a unique listening experience. What one person may take from the song may be completely different than the next.
Most recently, one of the disc's more signature songs, "The New Flesh", was honored with the following awards at GARAGEBANDRECORDS.COM:
