Lethal Charge was formed around 1991 by vocalist Michel Viana, with the releasing of a studio-demo “Mass control” (sold-out) , being in the begining, a kind of its founder’s solo project, regarding that he recorded almost all instruments and voices in this demo, though there was always a line up for live presentations.During this period Michel also played drums for Scum Noise. After two official demos and the participation in a vinyl-compilation: “Fun, milk and destroy” (produced by João Gordo – Ratos de Porão’s vocalist), Lethal Charge releases its debut album , “Lethal Charge” by Roadrunner Brasil (produced by Caio Ribeiro and the band), being very praised by most of the brazilian rock-magazines, zines, etc.
Due to personal and financial reasons Lethal Charge interrupted its activities from 1996 to 2000, period in which Michel was invited ( the only brazilian guy ) by Sepultura’s members by a test in order to replace Max Cavalera who had left the band. Actualy he didn’t get the post but this fact was certainly a decisive impulse for him to reform Lethal Charge and carry on making music.
Around 2000, a new demo “Ultimatum”, in 2001 a participation in another compilation “O progresso da regressão”, beside other great hardcore brazilian bands. In the end of 2005 the band started working on the recordings of their second album “Convergence”, mixed and mastered in 2006/2007, to be soon released by ZRecords. Lethal Charge also carries the honor of having already played live beside bands as GBH, Agnostic Front, Sepultura, Ratos de porão, Pavilhão 9, Cólera, Ação Direta, and many others.
More recently (April/2008), another brasilian label (Silvia Music) releases a 30-track Lethal Charge's compilation of demos and experimental studio versions entitled "Tales From the Holocaust".
