UPDATE!!!!! PLEASE READ BEFORE MESSAGING ME!!!!!
I had my open house for school last night. I am going back to college beginning August 3rd. While there was a lot of information to process, I am a little more confident about this really working out for me. It seems pretty easy and I caught on faster than some (most) of the other attendees. I am a little less nervous for my start day, and kind of wish it was here already.
Which leads me to the business. I really did not want to give up Libertina's Revamp to go to school. It took me a few years to build my online reputation, as well as a returning customer base. Its a shame to start that all over again in a few years. To be honest, I'm not sure I have it in me to start it all up again. At the same time, I have to conceed that dreading has not been that healthy for me. Humans were not meant to twist and backcomb for 4-5 hours a night with very little stopping. My Carpal Tunnel is a little out of control, and I am beginning to have some neck, back, and shoulder problems as well. It sounds so odd since the work is not that physically exerting, but then seamstresses often have trouble in their hands, so I guess it makes sense.
I'm also kind of burnt out. I LOVE my customers to death...EVERY one of them. They all took the chance at one point of buying from a stranger on the internet, and in doing so have allowed me to grow as a business owner, a dread artist, and a person. I don't think I can thank them enough, and have enjoyed working with them all. My vacations came from these wonderful folks, as well as some great inspiration with each custom order, and even did quite a bit for my self esteem. That said, I am still kind of tired. I find dreading a little harder these days, and my life is starting to pull me away from my work.
I don't truly know yet how many hours a week school is going to keep me busy, and I can't afford to waste the money I'm spending on my education to attend to the business. I refuse to let my service slide, and so I feel I am forced to make some changes, at least for the time being until I get my schedule sorted out.
So I think I will be dealing with things in the following ways FOR NOW:
No more custom dread orders. Yeah....I know, that stinks. I can tell you that 95 percent of my business to date has been in custom orders. But I cannot commit to promises I can't keep, and I do not think I will be able to keep current deadlines once my classes start.
No more full kits or full falls. - again, sucky I know, but I just do not think I will have the time to devote in the beginning.
Things I will still be operational for:
I just don't think I can let the business slip for good. I have worked too hard over the years to have that happen. So I am going to try to restructure a little bit to keep things afloat.
I will be offering PRE-MADE Dread kit accents. Depending on how much extra time I have, I might be able to whip out a few accents, or possibly almost as many as a full set. I will sell these slightly cheaper than my regular prices and make them in popular color schemes that they might be desirable to you folks.
I will take open suggestions on color schemes and materials for accents and mini-kits. Always feel free to suggest something if you want to try and buy it!
Monster bags and some other accessories such as leg warmers and hair clips I am still trying to do on a case by case custom basis. It takes me much less time to complete a monster bag than a dread kit, so I'm leaving these as is for now.
I will have other PRE-MADE handbag designs from time to time, so pop over to my site now and then for a peak!
Jewelry and duct tape bags have been discontinued. They simply do not have the demand I need to make it worth stocking the materials.

If all goes well and I feel like I can take on work, I will open myself back up to custom orders. I will likely announce slot openings in my status quote on my main page, and by bulletin, so keep a look out for those. They will be filled on a FIRST COME FIRST SERVED basis. Because of my limited availability, a down payment will be expected within 48 hours of grabbing the slot, so if you have no intention of following thru with the transaction the slot can become available to somebody else. In the past, I would wait for eternity on each one of you, but given that I might only have a breif window of time to work on dreads, I'm afraid I will now have to book quickly.
When not accepting custom orders, the page will state it clearly so you do not have to waste your precious time emailing me to find out. I know that can be annoying for you to put the effort in for no return.
I want to thank everyone again for everything you have given me over the years. The feedback and all the support has been amazing! I love seeing my dreads on you. I am honored you share your pictures with me, and I am COMPLETELY honored to have received many repeat customers. Know please that I am not saying goodbye, giving up, or closing down. Things are just going to have to change around for a little while.

Pricing is subjective, and depends on the complexity, time allocated to design, and material costs. Please message for a quote. This is a very dear hobby, so I try to keep my prices reasonable. I think you will be pleased! Some new products and prices have been updated in the blogs!
A rough price guide for dreads:
Single fall - STARTING at $55.00
Full set of two falls - STARTING at $110.00
Prices vary depending on the amount of colors used, complexity, and length of dreads.
Double enders and single enders available in falls or in dread kits!
Turn around time varies by product and work flow. Most orders takee about three weeks before being shipped out. You are guaruanteed time quote BEFORE you pay. Of course timelines can shift depending on suppliers and unforeseen events. I will ALWAYS be in touch and keep you updated on your order.
*REFUNDS EXCHANGES - Due to the custom nature of each piece, refunds will not be given on custom work UNLESS the item is defective or arrives distinctly not as described. Remember, colors look different from monitor to monitor, and camera lighting can be tricky. If you have questions on matching hair colors to your own hair, please ask!
Also remember to be clear in your order about what you would like. State colors, legnth, and style clearly. I will always send a confirmation message to you before I start. It is up to YOU to let me know if my email is correct.
