With members from California to New York to South Florida. Life Like the Movies members have been in bands from all parts of the U.S. such as Victim Youth, Today We Sleep, Chasing Amanda, and Next to Red before meeting together in their current city in South Florida.
Steven Arango (guitar), a Florida native, comes from a classical and jazz background, playing drums and saxophone, meeting Dixon Cleaves (bass), also a Florida native.Dixon has played strings for the majority of his life, starting young with influences from classic rock to metal. The combination created the perfect hard-rocking spark that fuels the high energy hard rock sound of Life Like The Movies. Charlie (vocals), a New York transplant,
moved to South FL to further his singing career,on the side delivering pizzas just to pay the bills. Steven and Dixon were instantly amazed at his unmistakably unique voice at a tryout and knew that this would be a perfect addition to the lineup. The trio then searched long and hard for the final ingredient, a California drummer who had moved to Florida also to pursue
his music career.Shane was tryed out and instantly added to the 4-piece
lineup that makes Life Like The Movies the hard-working easy going band they are today.
The name "Life Like The Movies", was created to be interpreted by the fans and for their own unique take on it. When it comes to what it means to the band, they say that most people don't find enough excitement in life...seeking more of a life....like the movies.
