Nasai	Aug 11 2007 6:33 AM So, today I was at the office talking with a buddy, and he asked me if I could do anything with my income, what would it be? I told him I'd do some obvious things like travel, etc. Try and fix the world's problems, and do what I could. Then, I threw him a wrench that he wasn't expecting. I used to be a performing musician, like Limblifter. I was a session drummer, and did well with it. Sadly, my attempt to find fame was always caught in the middle of my attempt to be an artist. As I got older, I realized I was content to be an artist, yet the world seemed so unfair to the talented, especially when (in my case) I wasn't as attractive as your average boy band dancer. By the time I reached 37 (a very ripe age in performance terms), I figured I'd hang up the hat. Rarely do I perform anymore, and it's killing me. This all said, after my friend asked me that question, the only answer I could give was that if I had my way, I'd start up a new label. Knowing full well what it takes to market a band (now), I could live on vicariously through others, be it more talented, younger, or better looking. The only band I've ever been moved to chills was Limblifter. I kid you not. Seeing Ryan amidst the Alarmbell days at the Crocodile in Seattle set my thoughts into motion. We emailed on rare occasions, as I realize he doesn't owe me anything, nor he I. Still, it makes me realize that what the world needs is less pabble, and more reality. More talent. More art. Fuck the labels. They don't know shit. I've had it, and I'm going to stand on the side of art, and talent. I think the world deserves it. Forget how attractive you "should" be. Be the band that could. Be everything we all hoped we could have kept ourselves, but the labels wouldn't budge. Be Limblifter. ..and in the future, when I finally open that label up, fully funded.... I'm going to call you. I hope you answer, because I can't think of a
