Some years ago - not too many years ago - there was a mu'm show during which Lance, Mandy and Nathan all happened to be in attendance. At the time, Lance had been making funny electronic noises on his own, and Nathan had been doing a lot of layering. Mandy suggested they get together, and they did. After a couple of times of just Lance and Nathan playing, they invited Mandy to sit in, and it has pretty much been that way ever since. The group continues to make music, even though Dallas (for the most part) isn't the kind of town where experimental music is king. But the endorsement of a city or a scene has never been the goal. The goal is to keep channeling the lonely sounds that feel like a good place to get lost. They'll find you eventually. And they'll wrap you up when they do.
