This album is a collection of stories from my life,
that asked to be told through song. They cover
heart-ache, heart-break, old love, new love, lost
love, blue love. Strangers in silent courtship, families in silent war
and a lament for peace.
The phrase “when then is now” means a lot to me. I
grew up loving to sing but with the ravages of
maturity I let that love slide into oblivion. Then,
many years later, these songs came knocking and I had
to put aside my perfectionist of old and let them out.
Not when I was a better singer, not when I was a
better musician - now.
I was led to the gentle and talented arms of my
producer Rick Price who nurtured these children of
mine and dressed them up in such fine clothes –
allowing them to shine in their simplicity and
honesty.
It’s an amazing thing to conquer your fears and do
what you truly want to do. To step off into the
unknown and put one foot in front of the other until
you reach your destination. I can highly recommend the
trip.
