LISA MANN: This vocalist, bassist and songwriter hails from the Portland, OR metropolitan area where she has made a name for herself with her inspiring original performances, as well as with her solid back-up role for some of Portland's finest artists. She has shared the stage with Sonny "Smokin'" Hess, Duffy Bishop, Margo Tufo, Ellen Whyte and the late great Paul Delay, among many others.
Lisa Mann is a two-time winner of the Cascade Blues Association's Muddy Waters Award for Bass Player of the Year, as well as a nominee for Vocalist of the Year for 2008. In 2007, Lisa Mann and Her Really Good Band were flown to Austin, TX to perform at the Famecast competition finals, where she took second place in a national field of 162 bands.
Lisa has two CDs under her belt, the eclectic "Self Material" and the more blues-heavy "Chop Water," both available at CDBaby.com, and at Portland's own Music Millennium. Self Material (2006) features performances from Portland greats like Sonny Hess, Megan James and Paul DeLay alumni David Vest. 2008's "Chop Water" features her 'partner in crime' Jeff Knudsen in the engineering role as well as on guitar, and amazing performances from Blues Music Award winning Insomniacs members, drummer Dave Melyan and keyboardist Alex Shakeri.
Lisa's original music runs the gamut, from R&B inflected blues to arena-style rock to sublime ballads. She also performs covers from a variety of styles, and can tailor her sets to fit any room or festival.
The Oregonian's Don Campbell says, "This bundle of energy is a gifted composer and vocalist... watch out for this woman!"
Portland Blues Magazine says, "Lisa is an extremely talented musician. Her versatility, reliability and precision, along with her phenomenal vocals, make Lisa an extraordinary musician."
Positively Entertainment says "Lisa Mann has an intriguing voice and a warm stage presence."

Hi Lisa Greetings from Australia ! Such a rewarding experience to hear a sister bassist playing and singing with such genuine passion that it oozes thru my speakers ! Much respect for your talent, regards from your Aussie blues buddy Henry
No Lisa...I'm not in the horse family....but I was born in Germany and moved to the states when I was 3 yrs old. Grew up on the east coast and moved to the west coast when I was 19. After I heard The Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show I was hooked and decided to play music and learn from them.
Right back at you, Lisa -- it was great sharing the stage with such an amazing bassist & vocalist...love your style! I'm looking forward to future gigs with you. Keep an eye out for WGTM -- I think PDX is in need of more GoGo's music!
