Lizhard is a Hard Rock band from Italy. It all starts in a small town near Milan, around 1995 when Luca “Ze” Moroni (bass) asks Ricky Lecchini (drums) to form a band called “Lego” (in a few years he decides to change the band’s name into Lizhard, a joke between the ex-singer’s name Liza and the genre they play). Beginning as a cover band, they play a lots of hard rock hits for many years during their live shows in northern Italy and Switzerland.
Thanks to their born-out friendship transmitted during their power shows and the captivating voice of Luke Marsilio, the band is soon appreciated by the audience. So they decide to start writing their own music.
In 2005 they record a 5 track Ep called “Sexy Lolita”, entirely sung in Italian, thanks to some Italian label contact of the guitar player “Alberto Colombo”. But it is not their way. When Paul Mainetti (guitars) joins the band, they soon decide to go back to their pure hard ’n’ roll sound and start working on some new material written by Luca “Ze” Moroni.
The band arranges their songs trying to preserve the sounds and the warmth of 80’s and 90’s classic hard rock. In June 2008 they finish the recordings of their first self titled full lenght album. During the first months of 2008 they open for former Mr.Big singer Eric Martin & Twin Dragons, getting great feedback from audience and critics. After few months they ink a deal with the well-known Label Perris Records for a worldwide release of the album on October 7th 2008.
The album has been co-produced, mixed and mastered by Alessandro Del Vecchio, musician known worldwide for his collaborations with acts like Edge Of Forever, Moonstone Project, Glenn Hughes, Ian Paice, Jeff Scott Soto, Axe and many others.

This is the time of year that we need to stop what we are doing and help those that are
left alone for the Holidays, There are many suicides this time of year because
people are lonely, this is not right and we all know this {makes ya fell kinda
shitty huh?}, so I would like for you all to concentrate on someone you know
will be alone and do something about it! Its not hard to help someone in need,
you do it because you would want someone to do it for you! I also want to say
if someone does you a good deed try and do as many as you can so it starts a
ripple effect! I smile when I meet a cashier even if he/she is not happy and
not smiling, when you speak with them on a human level then it speaks volumes
about who you are and what your’re made of! I think maybe I should not babble
on but just remember we all are not really much different than each other, we laugh,
sing, love, dance, & share just like we are supposed to. We need to connect with each other a lot more
and show what we are made of!!!!!!!!!!
