Hello Little John Nee, it's been a while since i gave some news...
I wanted to hear new songs from you but you seem to be more involved in theater those days than music.
Too bad for my ears but it makes me feel happy for you anyway.
I hope all is ok for you, i love your new pics.
Even if the one with chickens was damn funny.
Have a good day dear John.

Steve

Hey there, Nee.  Saw the light blinking and thought I'd say hello.  Have been in Colorado, the last couple months, but am planning to get a Greyhound to Oregon, Saturday or Sunday, to go fetch my horse.  You need one 'round these parts.

Recorded a few songs, recently, which I hope to use to revive and improve upon my last album.  Was joined by two great local jazz players, a double bassist and a pianist.  It will be great to have a new Frisbee to shop around!

All the best with your own work and say hello to Kenny, Breathnach and Matt the Hat, if you happen to see them....

Hey Little John - I hope you are well and working away on something worthy of your time and attention: a new play, a new song, a new woman perhaps.

A singing songwriting duo called The Lost Brothers is doing a gig at the Roisin Dubh on the 5th of May and are well worth going to see. I know one of them from Omagh and met the other in Lurgan; yet they met in Liverpool and are based in London. They were over in Portland for a few weeks recording their second album, and only left a couple days ago.

Check out their myspace and see what you think. I recommend a song called "The City of the Rose" - a song inspired by the ghost of a prostitute that is said to haunt the halls of the hotel where they were staying the last time they were over recording. Portland is known as the City of the Rose(s).

All the best and all the rest....

Barcelona Sky music & lyrics ... copyright
Danny D'Arcy (2007)

You never felt so good,
I hope you never change
Let your hair down, keep your hair long
We were lost, we were happy
In the middle of July
Stretched out in the grass
Under a Barcelona sky

With the sound of breathing traffic
And the sun kissing our face
Our whole life seemed to fall into place...
'Cos we were lost we were happy
In the middle of July
Stretched out in the grass
Under a Barcelona sky

Oh! I love you more than love
Could love itself
Headlights on my horizon
Doctor says sunshine is good for my health
I think it helps

Look at the two of us
It's like its meant to be
Birds flying high , birds in a V
And we are lost and we are happy
In the middle of July
Stretched out in the grass,
Under a Barcelona sky

Oh! I love you more than love
Could love itself
Headlights on my horizon
Doctor says sunshine is good for my health
I think it helps

You never felt so good
I hope you never change
Let your hair down, keep your hair long
We were lost but we were happy
In the middle of July
Stretched out in the grass,
Under a Barcelona sky

I'm as happy as two old people dancing,
I could break down and cry
There's just me and you
And a Barcelona sky

Moonlight..... Sunlight..... All of our lives.....

HAPPY EASTER DAYS!

I go up on Mandolin Mountain,
High on Melody Hill,
High sweet harmony,
Water at the well.

My life is passing through me,
I'm mostly satisfied,
The old songs are calling me,
Calling in the night.

I was reading in the book of love,
That's for down the road,
Love is for the brave, the bold,
The patient and the good.

I walked through the valley,
High up Tara hill,
I know it always was,
And it always will!

I go up on Mandolin Mountain,
High on Melody Hill,
High sweet harmony,
Water at the well.

smalltalk.
