*Lockjaw was a skinhead band with a big contingent who would cause a lot of trouble at shows. Such was(/is) the punk rock soap opera, back in the day.
*A massive heap of politically not-so-correct skincore thrash full-of-hate brutality from Portland
*Absolutely ESSENTIAL old school skinhead thug punk. Along with bands like Iron Cross, Negative Approach, Nihilistics, etc.., Lockjaw pioneered that whole gang punk mentality.
*Lockjaw was labeled "Portland's most hated band."
Lockjaw was ripped by the media, protested, and a couple of local record stores destroyed all the band's records. Lockjaw continued to play hardcore until 1987.

I (we) never understood that 'most hated band' rip from way back when. Didn't that start with Flipside or Tim Yohannan and the 'MRR no fun of any kind witch hunting brigade.' I do remembering them ripping on Roach Motel from Florida once. You had some loyal fans (and still do) here in Atlanta, Ga.
