   About The Loop
Are you ready for some Hard Mod?

“Hugely melodic and dangerously hooky. The band are nicely tight. The voice is epic, with a more than a hint of Paul Weller about it.”

“Nice backing harmonies against a lead voice as British as the river Thames.”

“Hey kids, time to get an education....this is the sound of pills and adrenaline!”

“This is revival genius in the vein of The Chords...gentlemen let me shake your hands....bloody wonderful stuff.” - Fame Games... Various reviews.

“One of the most requested bands I’ve ever had on Mod Radio UK”

“call them Hard Mods, call them Indie Heroes, call them an unsigned hard working gritty guitar band that truly deserve the accolade! Take note, here’s a band that you shouldn’t miss out on!” - Buster, Mod Radio UK.

“I would like to say to people, who haven't heard The Loop why not? They are superb” - The Wolf aka Danny C, Mod Radio UK

“You’ve got some great, catchy songs!” - Rick Buckler, The Jam

“..a rip-roaring set.”

“..solid songs in their own right, which Paul Weller himself, had he written them, might have stood back, wiped his hands and celebrated a job well done.”

“The Loop bring their sound bang up to date with some top notch indie, which seems to reference what the modern scene is doing whilst maintaining that early 80's mod/punk flavour.”

“The Loop back up their claims with substance.” - Art & Soul Magazine

Formed in the Summer of 2003 The Loop have steadily established themselves as a no-frills guitar based power trio playing gutsy, melodic, powerful songs with a simplistic ‘in yer face’ approach. Martin draws on life experiences when writing the songs and refuses to envelop them in sugary, stereotypical coatings for the masses to conform. Darren & Jamie provide the tight driving force behind this unique, refreshing and energetic collaboration.

The band was developed with a simple ethos in mind: "We've all chased the dream before, we have paid our dues many times over. We would love to turn professional but, we are realistic (not cynical!) and enjoy what we do but our friendship and families come first."

With debut Album ‘Game Over’ available from I-tunes and ‘the difficult’ 2nd Album ‘Shame’ getting glowing reviews prior to it’s release The Loop are looking to steadily claim more converts during 2007 by gigging extensively during the summer. Keep an eye out and catch them when you can.

If they send you home with your ears ringing and a smile on your face then The Loop have done their job!! But if you passionately love what you do and that passion shows, it’s not really a job anyway, is it?

As you may or may not be aware SoundARC hold a charity gig every year at Club 85 in Hitchin in aid of the Garden House Hospice in Letchworth, and this year we are going to try something a little different from previous years.

This year we are going to take over the club and host 37 acts in one weekend putting full bands upstairs and acoustic acts downstairs in an event that we are calling ARCfest!

It all starts on Friday 4th December at 7pm and then continues on through Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th from 12pm-11pm

As well as raising money for the Garden House Hospice in Letchworth, ARCfest will showcase all the different genres of bands that we at SoundARC have come across over the last 4 and a half years. Over this weekend a lot of the acts that you will see don’t get a chance to play a great local venue like Club 85, So as well as hearing new music you will see all manors of genres and styles from acoustic - Metal - Indie - Rock - Punk - Electro - Ska - Funk - Hip Hop/Rap - Alternative - Rhythm & Blues - Reggae - Grunge and loads more that I cant remember!
