Visually its one of the greatest performances you will ever see. The 3 piece is fronted by Lord Bishop – who many are asking - Is this the new Jimi Hendrix? Possibly/Yes, some will say, but in reality, No. For this is Badass black guitarist / singer-songwriter Lord Bishop, and he is like no other. Already established in Europe as a hugely in-demand artist who has risen to give rock music a mighty kiss in the rear, and a veteran of non-stop euro gigs and festivals in the past few years. Lord Bishop is the "black giant" (two meters plus 120 kg) from New York City and with his Sex Rock gang produce a daring and crazy mixture of dirty Rock’n’Roll, Funk, sweat, Soul, sex appeal and power. "LORD BISHOP ROCKS" are the Loudest, Funkiest, Dirtiest Hard Rock Trio to land on the planet Earth in decades. In 2005 the ‘American Lies Tour’ hits countries like Germany, Netherlands, Austria, Romania, Hungary, Italy, Czech Republic, Ireland and the UK with over 180 gigs. Next years plans include LORD BISHOP ROCKS first tour to ASIA i.e JAPAN, KOREA, CHINA. Those who see the band live, will all leave at the end of the night with huge smiles on their faces from the musical orgasm that is LORD BISHOP ROCKS. "Fuck you" is a term that means independence, anti-mainstream and a lot of fun on the road for the New York power rock freak Lord Bishop. Lord Bishop from New York City, journey man, black magic worshiper, voodoo funker has been on the Rock'n'Roll Road for over 10 years spreading a brand of music that comes from his soul and his heart. "If the music doesn't fuck then it doesn't rock! My influences are Jimi Hendrix, James Brown, Frank Zappa, John Lennon, Kurt Cobain, Tina Turner and Janis Joplin." With over 1500 concerts played in last 13 years (800 in USA, 700 Europe) and thousands of CDs sold world wide, the Lord carries the torch of Rock'n'Roll like his predecessors before him. "I will die on stage because it's the only place I live". Starting out in small venues all over the place, the main intention was to move his band, the Rockadelic Kings, forward: Rock'n Roll - as pure and as eccentric as Rock music can be. The permanent stress of a musician who is trying to reach upper skies leaves the King of Sex Rock still excited every show. "When I see the faces of the boys and the pussies of the girls I say to myself, wow this is a life." Since 1991 he enjoys living on the road, on stage and of course back stage! Since relocating from the USA to Germany in 2000, together with the Rockadelic Kings he was conquering the music world in Germany, Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Italy, Ireland and Poland with more than 450 live shows in 3 years. Before he already did 800 shows with the black hard rock band from NYC "Total Sexual Freedom". It's no surprise that Lord Bishop can be seen at major Open Air Festivals all over Europe, i.e. at the "Love and Peace Festival" in Fehmarn (Germany), the "Trutnov Music Festival" in Trutnov (Czech Republic), at the "Rock for People Festival" (Czech Republic), the "Waldstock Festival" in Pegnitz (Germany), the famous "Umsonst und Draußen Festival" in Vlotho (Germany), and many more. In 2004, the band name was changed to LORD BISHOP ROCKS and the band signed with Pogomotion. A debut 27 date UK tour followed, which was an overwhelming success beyond all expectations for a band who were totally unknown to the UK music loving public. But with one tour, that all changed. The foundations have continued to be laid with a awesome number of gigs across the UK since March, and the band is on permanent tour for the second half of 2004, as the band continues to spread the SexRock disease to all who see the band live. A description of the music is as simple as complicated: Sex Rock is the word that Lord Bishop has chosen and it fits perfect. Emotional, hard, fast, soft, the music makes people sweat, move, sweat move, sweat, move and then explode with the biggest orgasm of their life. The recent Sweat'n Blood album and new album American Lies highlight this - from the first chords you get the impression of a loud, black Voodoo Funker laying down Rock'n Roll the way it was meant to be. Before people know it, the Sex Rock juices start flowing - "if everyone who buys one of my CDs can just take it home and fuck to it, I'm very happy". There is no book, "How to become a Rock'n Roll star on your own back" - but if there would be one it should be written by Lord Bishop. "I will not give up music until I'm dead", quotes Lord Bishop himself and people who know him think, even then he will continue. "What I believe in is Rock Music and not just formulated Rock Music to make hits, but music that you can listen to over and over again. Music that fuses loud rock guitar and driving drum beats with funk and tiny elements of Jazz, Music not easily copied by the original performers or anyone else. Of course as a songwriter I also write songs that have hooks as big as God's earth and you can instantly sing along with them. But that's not my purpose, I want people to listen and get into the personal nuances of my music - the elements of love, hate, confusion, fear and most of all the sexual energy that drives me forward. No one understands how hard it is to be in a touring Rock Band unless you have hit the road. Some Bands start fucking whining when they play more than 25 Shows on a tour. They should try playing 200 to 250 times per year like myself. I say if you are doing what you love and getting even one penny per show to do it, then shut the fuck up, turn up the amps and lets rock!!!". Facts that are important to know about Lord Bishop and his feelings about people and the world: 1. Politicians are the scum of the earth. They are the bacteria of the world. We need a world wide revolution and put all these Mother Fuckers on one island and just let them lie to one another until they kill each other. 2. The Music Business is fucked as long as we have the clear channels of the world, who filter what the masses should hear. We need more funding for independent Radio Stations world wide. This is also one of my missions, to fund and help promote Indie Radio Stations all over the world, where you can hear Miles Davis to Metallica in one hour. 3. Narrow minded people: Open your fucking eyes! There is a real world out there with people of all different religions and ethnic backgrounds! Learn to love and respect your fellow neighbour and if he or she is different than you, feel excited! Don't put them down! It takes a lot to be different and from another planet, I should know! 4. Don't be afraid to walk the walk and talk the talk, the bigger the risk the bigger the gain!"
