Influenced by post punk, wave, rock and good old 80’s independent music we created our own style in by now more than 13 years of trying to find the perfect lineup. A “synthie-wall of sound” accompanied by an impulsive drum and bass section and haunting guitarlicks are building the foundation for expressive vocals.

Lotus Feed was founded in 1995 by Christoph Mohrholz (guitar), Lutz Kohlgrüber (Keyboard), Alexander Landsberg (vocals), David Sielaff (drums) and Andreas Kröll (bass). Influenced by bands like The Cure, Sisters of Mercy and Joy Division we created or own sound with tracks like „Love Shock“, „End Of Time“ and „Drawn Too“, which constantly appeaar in our liveset since 1996.

Frictions came up in 1997, which led do a meanwhile disbanding. But Alex, Chris and David kept in touch and decided to revive Lotus Feed in 1999 supported by Frederik Stöcker (keyboards) and Tim Kühnert (bass)

As fate willed in 2002 LotusFeed again lost several members when our keyboarde moved to Paris and our guitarist decided to become the frontman of his own band. Thus our bassist decided to desert the sinking ship.

It was a time of constant lineup changes and creative breaks, as well as jamming around with different musicians like Daniel Kohl (bass) www.myspace.com/thesoundscraperz or Jonas Hero (bass), who accompanied us for a while supporting us in creating first halfway decent recordings.

In 2006 Chris Störig entered our rehersalroom and our long lost Keyboarder Fred rejoined Lotus Feed. Being complete for the first time since 2002 Lotus Feed experienced a considerable musical progression topped by several gigs in our region.

In 2009 we started with a marvellous time supporting our friends “Midas Factory” at MTC/Cologne and a great gig at Crimson Night Festival with "Fliehende Stürme" and "Die Art" in Münster. We decided to play more gigs outside Cologne/Bonn - Area and at long last finsh our new Record. Recording is currently in progress, so watch out for more to come!
