Loudaphone are a Brighton-based 4-piece. Their sound is a mixture of uplifting, heart-tugging melodies and bass lines, combining an often harder indie/rock edge.
They formed in January 2003 and have been playing around Sussex, London and Wales (their singer being Welsh himself) at such top venues as The Dublin Castle, Islington Bar Academy, Brighton Pressure Point, Cardiff Barfly and Newport TJs, steadily gaining a solid fan base and a reputation as a great, energetic live act.
They have recorded an album of 14 quality tracks, produced by Nick Hunt who has worked with the likes of Placebo and Willard Grant Conspiracy. They set up their own label, Barefaced Cheek Records, to sell the album independently currently just from their on-line shop and at gigs, but they are on the look out for a distribution deal.
Recently they have started to get some local radio airplay on stations such as Juice, Spirit and Wave in Sussex.
