"It’s the best downtempo album you’ve never heard of."

"There's not a gimmick to be found here -- it's just a collection of twelve four minute songs that exist as ends unto themselves, and though its premise is none too exhilarating, its results are -- and then some."

"...their music is just lovely...The music itself covers so many grounds - some parts Sigor Ros with the xylophones and cellos - some parts mixing steady beats with cranky bass guitars - this stuff is awesome"

"Whether it's a string arrangement, a train, the wind, or the members playing several different instruments, these guys just have a knack for making music with soul."
domaincleveland.com
"Low In The Sky surprised me. They're simple with their complexity, and the lack of lyrics doesn't bring their intensity down. Recommended for fans of Four Tet, Department of Eagles, Boards of Canada, and Prefuse 73."
whoneedsradio.com
"Fundamentally, it's genuinely difficult to fathom a plausible explanation for this record's existence."

Alright, it's been about two years since I've added the Dear Birds cd into the music collection. After several thousand listens, at a rough approximation, I have to say it STILL holds up over time. Specifically, Cool Sanson, Are You For Real, and Go Federal are high up the list of personal favorites from amongst music acquired over 30 years. Also, Are You For Real ALWAYS gets a "Hey, what IS this we're listening to?! What the hell, is that a MODEM?!" It also makes me wish I still had my old zither >.< At any rate, keep up the good work at the other end of Ohio. I'd love to see you guys play with my close friends WHY? who are originally from Ohio as well.
The Last Night Static remix is absolutely beautiful! Very nicely done. And if you didn't take special note of "me and the ink"'s comment, you should... it looks to me like one of the best compliments ever.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy my music 1/2 as much as I do yours.
Some of the most organic and well crafted instrumentalism around. I hope you guys start getting some paychecks. But may inspiration fill those fatass money bags, as well.
