Hailing from Lincoln, Nebraska, Lucas Kellison and The Assembled Soul bring a unique rendition of soul music to the stage and studio, alike. Their sound is driven by a gritty rhythm section, soaring harmonies, and infectious funk. With a vast array of original music and interesting spins on classic covers, LK&AS bring substance and thought to their always danceable, fun music.
In his first solo effort, Rise, Lucas Kellison brought a new sound to the Midwest (he is currently a member of SadSon Productions), drawing comparisons to D’angelo, Prince, Maxwell, Stevie Wonder, Jamiriquai, and Robin Thicke. After several awards and much critical acclaim, Kellison decided that he wanted to form a full on 8-piece band—one that would appeal to a vast array of people. It is safe to say The Assembled Soul has been just that, leaving everything on stage with jaw-dropping performances and musical precision. The band consists of an all-star lineup, including Andrew Tyler on drums, Nicholas Semrad ..s, Adam Boomer on guitar, Bill Catlett on bass, Liz Anderson, Aundria Wagner and Jason Wagner on vocals, and Kellison on guitar and lead vocals. The members have shared the stage with the likes of Derek Trucks, Herbie Hancock, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Karl Denson, Galactic, and many, many others.
Look for LK&AS to release their album, New Muse, in late 2008!

Hey Lucas, I added a new song to the player. It’s called “Frantic Freedom”.
It’s a live studio groove rock jam that’s funky as hell! Think of Jimi Hendrix’s “Foxey Lady” on steroids, and you’ll have a good idea of what’s in store for you when you hear the song. There’s also a companion live video for the song. And in the video I DO MY UPSIDE-DOWN GUITAR PLAYING THING. Ya gotta see it!!
**IF YOU DIG IT, YOU CAN BUY THE LIVE JAM TRACK FROM THE VID FROM MY SNOCAP STORE!
Also, I added TWO MORE videos. One is called “a little bit of my history”, in which I talk about some of the things that shaped me as a guitar player. The last new vid is called “Rocket Dreams”, a straight-up rock jam!
