Hollywood here was filmed in my kitchen, yes that is true!!! Check it out below or on http://www.ifilm.com/ifilmdetail/2709766 here. I was born in Glasgow my first guitar was a self made one consisting of a Weetabix box, a hole cut out, rubber bands across it and off Iwent following my heart into discovering music. I studied art in London.with my career beginning in furniture design and working on the sets, making props for Pop videos for director Lyndsey Clennell on bands like ELO, Black Sabbath. While at Art College in London I founded my eleven piece band Continental Cartoon the Latin pop crossover outfit, whose members included Neil Barnes(Leftfield) and Steve Jones (A Man Called Adam)and Jill Bryson (Strawberry Switchblade). I produced my first single SUNSET RED(originally released 1987) on Pure Trash Records, after meeitng Plato Page (The Rain Gods) now know as Count Dubulah (Temple of Sound), which picked up plays from everyone betweenTony Blackburnand Gilles Peterson. On the back of this single I was invited to feature in an award winning documentary A Portrait of Great Britainproduced by Turner Broadcast Productionswhich was syndicated across the US. It was at Ronnie Scott's while performing with Winston Blissett and Neil Barnesthat I was heard by dance act Congress (1991) and my subsequent vocal version of their track 40 MILES (recorded in a little bedroom in Croyden with a lovely nylon stocking over the mircrophone) which went straight to Number One in the UK dance charts and culminated in an appearance on the first ever live Top of the Pops, for which I will also be remembered for being the dance diva, sporting a giant treble clef on my head. The drummer from Don MacLeans band ran off with the treble clef shortly after. Mind you as a former Alternative Miss Worldrunner-up I was renowned for some of my costumes. Following 40 MILES I undertook a promotional tour of the US with Steve Bronski of Bronski Beat, which led to some serious recording sessions with a host of influential DJ's and dance music producers before I decided I needed to follow my own path and write and record my own material. Eventually I recorded a solo acoustic albumI BELIEVE (1996) co-produced by Count Dubulah of then Transglobal Underground and now Temple of Sound. N 2002, EM records of Japan tracked me down to released the original version of SUNSET REDwith Neil Barnes (Leftfield) on percussion. Declared a samba styled summer smash by NMEit has already achieved great success in Japan. I love to collaborate particularly with the internationally acclaimed bass player, writer,Winston Blissett (Massive Attack), leading on to HEART IN THE SKY, my most ambitious project up to that point. This was a dramatic progression of my earlier solo work and was masterly co-produced by world music maestros Temple of Sound. It is now 2006 and I was going to put out an EP and then it just seemed to grow into a bigger project. I am now returning to the stage with my forthcoming enhanced CDSILVER LIFE which inclued the magical music video for the new Hollywood Remix (filmed in my kitchen, true!!!). Here I present three new acoustic songs guitar based and harmony driven, with the fabulous guitar arrangements and playing of Reid Savage and bass playing of Winston Blissett. Temple of Sound (who have recently produced the new Natasha Atlas album) featuring their Drum & Bossa remix on ADORE along with remixes by, soundscapersSlipper(Loop Guru), globe trotter engineer producer David White and Kick production. From chilled out acoustic, heavenly harmonies through to ambient and worldly remixes of tracks taken from my previous album Heart in the Sky which I originally co produced with Temple of Sound, check it out, Silver Life. Available through www.voiceprint.co.uk, www.cdbaby.com and www.lucindasieger.com .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ..
