Part Emily Dickinson and part Kris Kristofferson, Lisa DeRosia's lyrics and rare voice are wrapped in arrangements flavored with bits of Burt Bacharach's '70s orchestral pop, Tammy Wynette's classic country and the Beatles' Revolver-era rock.
The Daily Herald called Lush Budgett's latest CD, Yesterday is Gone, one of the 10 best Chicago releases of the year. A sweet convocation of vintage country-inspired melodies and alt. rock brooding...lonely and love-struck lyrics...sung with a soothing, hushed twang...and a dash of Beatles-esque pop melancholy."

You're too kind! Sorry we couldn't stay for the 2nd set. You were fantastic, such a great voice, and that band totally nails every groove. If you have a mailing list, could you put me on it? johnmilne@sprynet.com
Hey there Lisa - hope you're doing well up there. Nashville is cool and things are good down here. What suggestions do you have for trying to get a show up there? Let me know if you ever make your way down here. thanks and talk to you later, Jeremiah

Thanks for the add! I was listening to Pandora - the music genome project and they played "East Virginia" and I loved it so much I had to check out more of your stuff and buy it!
Thanks for the add. I decided to stop visiting the page all the time and just buy both CDs. Still trying to figure out the 2-cent price difference between the two on CDBaby.... No matter, though, it's great stuff.
