More than 12,000 children are diagnosed with Cancer every year in the United States and more than 3,000 will die from it. Through music therapy, programs for young Cancer victims and extensive research to find a cure, the rate of recovery for these children is increasing.
Cancer casts an overwhelming shadow over all of our lives. Whether it's a family member, neighbor, co-worker or friend, we have all been affected by this tragic disease. Lyrics for Life is a vehicle for us to turn that pain around and focus on healing and surviving.
Each of the members of the Platinum band Sister Hazel have been affected by Cancer. Lyrics for Life was their answer to doing something about it. Lyrics for Life, the brainchild of Sister Hazel front-man, Ken Block, is an active participant in finding a cure. What started as a tribute to his younger brother Jeffrey, who ultimately lost his four-year battle with Cancer, has become an industry-wide commitment to fight Cancer. Lyrics for Life is a non-profit organization that unites musicians and celebrities for a series of concerts and auctions.
Not all medicine comes in a bottle…sometimes, it comes on a stage. From South Florida to Boston, all the way to Colorado, we host concerts and events that raise money and awareness. Guests are treated to gourmet dinners, intimate, acoustic musical performances and access to our silent auctions.
Hey Everyone... there's still time to sign up for the Frank Brown/ Lyrics for Life Celebrity Golf Tournament for Charity held in Perdido Key, FL on Nov. 13 & 14 at the Lost Key Golf and Yacht Club in conjuction with the 24th Annual Frank Brown International Songwriters Festival. All the money raised beyond expenses will go directly to Lyrics for Life and the Frank Brown Foundation for Music.
