Macropode is a concept initiated whilst doing live electronics with a band in London back in 2004. Exported from the little island of Malta, London was a completely new musical spectrum itching to be explored. Hitting legendary nites such as bangface,t-bar,minus and warp events ...to name a few, comprehensively influenced my sound. Observing various performance formats on these nites, stimulated my curiosity. However, still wanted to take the hands on approach and attend a music college in hackney London.
At that time the band was priority, however performed some odd nites across London throughout ’05 and ’06.
UN succeeding to conclude a deal, the band fell apart... as-well as our morale.
Started jamming with a new band (lexlucian) to try and patch things up, but living in London was developing complexities of which where beyond my control. The deplorable decision was made to go back to Malta.
The following 17 months were mainly spent helping a couple of local artists projects but struggling to find time to elaborate on my own.
June ’08... a sudden lapse. Life’s complexities were instantly banished, i found more time to work on own material and purchased new gear, eventually rebooting a new setup.
Currently engaged on a collaboration with Carl vaught on a performance called "Don’t panic". Me and Carl showcase our unique style while working together to create an integrated mix and overall musical journey. An integration of performances, smooth transitions and live collaborations resulting in a musical experience born out of improvisation and spontaneity.
