DJ Mike Davies - BBC Radio 1 UK:
"...He's a chilledout version of Radiohead and Muse"
Martin Ashplant - www.inthenews.co.uk:
"His debut album was released in Denmark in March, but there is every chance this young man can go much farther than Scandinavia. Soulful and wistful and with Muse-like vocals that can tug, Langer, despite appearing to be barely old enough to smoke on his album inlay, has a chance to take the world by storm. "
Pär Winberg - www.melodic.net:
"...He is somewhere in a cool mixture of Coldplay, Saybia, Carpark North, Matthew Good, Tommy Henriksen, Jeff Buckley and Stereophonics. Hard to explain because - and that is also a good thing - the man sits on an own sort of style in this mish mash of styles."

"Den unge Mads Langer synger som en engel..."
Ekstrabladet
Mads har trods sin lidenhed stemmen og musikken i sig – og vokser sig stor og mægtig i slutsceneriet. Det er nok her, de nye tider venter. Sammen med ny cd i 2008...
Mads Langer was lured by music as a baby, playing the piano that adorned his childhood home in a tiny Danish town called Skive. It is true to say that he was bitten by the music bug before he could take his first step. It wasn't just the ebony & ivory of the piano's decor that fascinated him, there was also his fathers vast record collection that lured Mads like a siren where he would plunder through and sing along with his unique fresh, soulful voice that would effortlessly switch between smooth and rough tones. ”I knew from the start that music would be a vital element in my life" says Mads. Something else was awaiting him and and it came in the form on an acoustic guitar, the instrument that would help him carve out his songs, and this guy has songs. Dedication to music drove Mads to pack his bags, right after finishing secondary school, and head to the big city, Copenhagen.
Having conquered his native Denmark through achieving great success with his critically acclaimed albums 'Attention Please' and 'Mads Langer' whilst building a great fanbase, achievements he talks with with great pride after five years of hard graft, Mads Langer has now set his sights on the big wide world.
Basing himself in London, Langer wants to focus on an international career and writing a truly great new album. Says Langer "I love to let my music take me where it may and play to as many people as possible. If I had lived in the faraway past, I would surely have been a wandering troubadour telling tales through my songs, about the breezes and storms, and singing heartfelt love songs to the beautiful unreachable ladies in their unreachable towers. Anyway, I like to think that I live my life like a modern troubadour, me, my guitar, my music". "There are countless stories to tell and I want to tell some of them through my music and make an album that I can be immensely proud of and that people will relate to - ”A minute doesn't go by, not even a second, without a stream of new musical ideas or familiar phrases running through my head. My songs spring from that source.”
Langer's live performances are noted for leaving many in the audience in awe of his commanding performance and singing abilities. Treating the audience as his friends, Mads will take you up and down and through the intimate journeys threaded throughout his melodic songs. He's obviously doing something right as he is currently undertaking a sold-out Danish tour where he will play to over 8,000 people.
This is probably Christopher Lee's last album: he will be 88 soon - although with his energy, he might well reach 100!! :)
