"It took Malkin (Vox, Gtrs, Production) two full years of various collaborations and attempts to finally put a finger on what he was best at.
After starting off as a DJ, spinning records as diverse as minimalist electro and tribal sounds, he then moved on to become a part of the singer/songwriter scene, using his eclectic and rhythmic vocals over the sounds of an accoustic guitar.
Early 2008, his path crosses Florent Skalli's (Gtrs, Keys, Production): the start to a great collaboration indeed.
Florent's various and previous experiences in the indie NY and parisian music scene had led him to make a move towards production; and if their work was originally planned to be a simple engineer to artist relationship, it quickly turned out to be a great artistic combination that gave birth to MAEDUSA.
All these texts, sounds, ideas and songs that Malkin had kept secret, he unveiled to Florent during these long nights of work they spent at his studio in Paris.
The result of these hard working six months is MAEDUSA's debut EP (2009), co-produced and arranged by both musicians.
It's a subtle mixture of creative ideas and strong influences, with the likes of Jeff Buckley and the Cold War Kids, as well as a very rhythmic record, combining beats of all sorts.
But most of all, it is the introduction to Malkin's astonishing and memorable vocal tone, which he greatly combines with clever lyrics.
This year will most definitely be one to remember for MAEDUSA, as the band are finally planning on going out there to play these songs to a world that's now ready to hear them...

Hi M Ae D U S A, In your presence even my shadow acquires the sensation of touch. Please let me hear more of that wonderful sound. You ever remind me of the enigma of happy thoughts I once forgot. You are dressed with filaments and people take pains to make you fully incandescent this evening. I find your eyes to be a wondrous amusement park filled with neo-plastic pleasures and turkish delights. The expanse of your beauty is a void no universe could ever fill. Your hair sends forth a sheen remniscent of golden sunlight winding through shadows. Your layers of absinthe and torsion form concretions of hyper-alimentation. I keep searching for you between the cushions. If I could have just one wish, it would be to wake up to your songs in the morning. Your eyes show as many deep and full shades of fire as a volcano in heat. Your wonderfully bright soul keep the demons from torturing me. All my thoughts are lost to your graceful gaze? You have not yet reached the height of your creativity.
Finally, we would like to introduce our entire album, "Pretend That We're Famous" on Itunes now! Just incase you dont already know :D Keep in touch~Sandlot Heroes
