BIOGRAPHY
Magda Sinit & THE BAND are Magda, Samuel James, Delroi, Alex and Nigel.
Magda, the female front person, dominates the stage with her outstanding and unique soulful voice, reminiscent of a young Erykah Badu or Lauryn Hill, both of whom influence her musical style.
The Band, dubbed the new sound of British Soul, incorporate elements of hip-hop and jazz, bringing you a smooth baseline, courtesy of Alex, underpinned by Del’s tight precision on drums. Nigel, who recently joined the band, adds a soulful edge on guitar laced with the sexy sounds of Sam on both sax and keys.
Magda Sinit & THE BAND have had much success over the last few months, having caught the attention of the British public on T4’s Mobileact Unsigned programme. They have played various venues; Brent Respect Festival, 93 Feet East, Plan B, and Scala to name a few.
2007 was a busy year for Magda Sinit who released her EP FREE TO FLY, paving the way for this year, which sees the band go from strength to strength.
