Mark and I just recorded a new single! Calling You was written a few! years ago, but we finally got back in the studio to record it. The song still needs to be mixed some more and I'm going to be be adding some additional guitar parts, but a rough demo is now up
and running.
It's just Mark and I these days. I took over the guitars and did bass and vocals as usual...and of course Mark Slak is still on the drums.
We plan on recording a few more songs in the near future, so stay
tuned!

Mark and Manda, remember when I told you about Takeover UK playing in Columbus on 9-11? Well, I coming out to Columbus to see them, because they haven't been playing much here in Pittsburgh this year. I'm hoping to see you two at the gig so we can get reacquainted. Hope to see you then.
Mark and Manda, please don't get mad at me, but I just found out that Takeover UK has scheduled another Columbus show for Sept. 11, and it will be at your old stomping grounds, Skully's. Also, this is just a suggestion, but if you want to start playing again, this would be a great gig to get in on, since both bands would complement each other really well.
Hey manda and crew! I just wanted to say how much I love all your music! I know tons of bands and you guy are one of my favorites. I have been showing you guys around to a bunch of my friends and making fans out of them. Just wanted to encourage you guys to keep at it! Love your music! Mark and Manda, remember when I suggested a while back that you should check out Takeover UK? Well, I know they didn't make it to Columbus at that time, but they will be there again on April 16 at Bernie's Distillery.
Mark and Manda, just in case you two may be interested, there is a very good band coming your way. They're called Takeover UK, and they will play at this gig in Columbus...
It just dawned on me that it's been five years since I first saw your band at the 31st Street Pub here in Pittsburgh, PA. To put it mildly, it was a life changing experience.
Please don't think I'm trying to be pushy, but I do hope you'll play again soon. You're a great band that's a real pleasure to go see live.
Even if you can't make it to Pittsburgh, I would be more than happy to make a trip or two to Columbus to see you. And if you play up in NYC, well, I'm always looking for an excuse to go to NYC.
Oh, wait, I took them. Well, nice to see they're being put to good use;)
BTW, I don't know if you saw this at MikeR's message board, but Kim Fowley did mention Manda on his radio show a couple of weeks ago. He asked his listeners to name a true rock'n'roll woman, and I told him about Manda in an e-mail. Nothing too detailed, mind you, just that she's a great singer and songwriter.
Thanks for the new songs on the player. I especially like "No Direction," and I think "Simple Things" is Manda's finest moment as both a singer and a songwriter.
Oh, one more thing...if you do end up coming back to Pittsburgh, another band I would recommend is TakeoverUK. I just recently discovered them, and I think your band would fit in well with their sound.
